Have 6 day December trip planned on-site and planned to go again next October. Stupid me bought 1120$ worth of APs 2 weeks before new package. Now for 500$ more than room only can have UPH for me, DH and DS4--DS2 is free. Would anybody do this? Thinking of buying the package and saving the APs for later date(possibly off-site). Of course they'll probably release AP rates as soon as I book the package with my luck! (I think you can cancel somewhat before though.)

If you are going back to WDW before your AP's expire & will have more than 7 days at parks between the 2 trips, than AP's are the way to go. I personally don't like the UPH. I did that the first time I went to Disney because I didn't know any better (this board was not around). I would have been better off with a 7 day PHP because at least I would have had any unused days left to use at a later time. We were not in the parks every day when we had the UPH. One day my DD was sick & the rest of the family went to Seaworld. Another day they did one of the Water Parks. I find the PHP to be the best or just the PH if your not interested in the plusses. I still have some unused days left on PHP's which we will use this trip & I will buy a new AP so I can get the discount @Swan. Go AP....JMO Kathy
