Southwest business class 1-15
Disability boarding
A16-30 (early bird)
Family Boarding
B1-B60
C1-60

This is what I understand from the very weird description on the Airline Website, is this correct? If not, what is the correct order?

from what happened on one of our flights, because it was almost families there was no family boarding. the one group you left out is medical preboarding, the blue cards, which is done first, if needed

My experience has been that disability/medical boarding is first even before business class.

Disabled/needs assistance preboards (with blue sleeve)...then A1-15 (business or upgraded)...then A16-60...then family boarding but only with child 4yo and under and sometimes not the whole family just kid plus parent...then B 1-60...then C (there are not 60 Cs). So family with an A boards with As.

Disability boarding happens first.
A1 - A15 are rarely filled to the max when we fly. I have seen 5 or 6 at the most for any given time and other times there are none.
"A" boarding stops at 60 and not 30
EBCI does not necessarily take up all "A" slots and can also go into the "B" slots depending upon demand.

Great, covered all the bases of everything we needed to know about SWA boarding, this should be the information that is on their website!

There's no specific early bird. You could still get an A without out, you could also get a B with it, depending on how many buy it.

one other thing to remember is unless you have an early morning flight where plane overnighted at your airport there can be a number of people on the plane before first boarding at your airport. I know on one of our flights we were routed weird and about 30 people already on plane when first blue sleeve was boarded. by end of A boarding a lot of people complaining about how many were on plane in front when they boarded

That's a good point. I flew PIT-BWI-MCO last year and 41 people stayed on board at BWI. After they took a count, we were permitted to move. Most people moved to the front.

I boarded a SW flight home, in NC to PHL. Well, the flight originated in Orlando. Only a handful of people got off in NC. We had low "A" boarding passes, but the flight was nearly full when we boarded. (we might have all been As getting on, actually!) I don't think we even sat together (short flight, no big deal).

The WORST part was those Orlando passengers were ALL settled in and spread out. They did NOT want to give up their "extra space" if they did not have to. They had their coats and stuff on the empty seats and avoided all eye contact, lol. Couples and groups of 2 seemed to be counting on the few empty middle seats staying unoccupied. When we went to sit in them, one of the pair would shift to the middle seat.
