We sail Saturday and we got an email today saying that “Our Palo Brunch is overbooked and they are moving us from Monday to Sunday.”
Is this common???

just curious which ship? never heard of this happeningI posted it first on the facebook group for our cruise and two other people replied they got the same message. One was moved and one was canceled.
We are Platinum. In all of the cruises we have been on I have never heard of this happening. This would not happen to be a Western Caribbean with a stop at Cozumel on Monday? They usually only do brunch on sea days. What castaway level are you?
You need to call DCL and make it clear that you do not appreciate what they did. Request to be moved back.
When you board, make sure you speak to the Dining Manager/Palo Manager/Guest Services Manager to express your displeasure.
Best case scenario is they move you back and comp it.
Worst case scenario is they blow smoke up your caboose and do nothing.
Or anything in between.
While I would also be very annoyed at this, I probably would not try to get my original reservation back as long as the change didn't mess up some of my other critical plans. If some VIP group muscled their way in, which is what this sounds like, with no regard for whomever they displaced - would you really want to share brunch time with them? You might have a better experience on the replacement day. Just my thoughts.
But I am sorry this happened to you. No one wants to start their vacation on a sour note.
I've never heard of this.. does the new day and time even work for you? YES!!![]()
Yes - It is Western - Monday Cozumel. That's why I wanted Sunday and it filled up fast.We are Platinum. In all of the cruises we have been on I have never heard of this happening. So my next question would be when did they start doing brunch on a port day? We have done eleven seven day cruises and have never seen brunch offered on a port day in the past. Is this something new they may be doing due to the fact brunch does fill up fast?ACTUALLY I WANTED THE CHANGED TO DAY/TIME TO START WITH! Hope it stays true.
