I had this message in my eBay mail box and was wondering if you think it is a scam:

I see that you deal in romance which I read quite avidly. However, due to work and travel demands I cannot resell on ebay and therefore acquire a lot of TSP's, all in excellent condtion. Most are by well known authors.
I am seeking an active seller who would be willing to buy my books for $3.00 each. If you read as well a sell it would provide a new source of material for enjoyment as well as profit.
I don't feel this offer is contrary to ebays intrest as my books would then result in auctions instead of in a yard sale box.
I would propose to send you a list of the 35 I currntly have and if you'll select a group you want I'll ship them to you at my expense. You don't pay until your satisfied as to their condition. I also absorb shipping at 5 or more so with volume your cost remains $3.00 net.
Please respond either way so I can continue looking for a partner if your not interested.
Thanks for Considering,
Steve

What do you think?

Definitely a scam. I also believe it is against ebay rules to contact someone regarding selling outside of ebay. I'd report the person.

Scam. If they have the time to e-mail you and offer you the opportunity to buy their books for $3 each, they have the time to offer them as a "Buy it now" transaction for $3 times the number of books. ON e-bay - providing any buyer with all the protections OF e-bay and, um, that payment company (dang my mind - I don't know where I've been leaving it lately!)

:lmao: you're trying to say PayPal ! To OP send the message to eBay powers that be...the "seller" is breaking all the rules

If your asking this question on here, then there is doubt in your mind. Go with your gut :)
