Is this a really good phone plan or am I missing something?

Do you have to call from your calling area or can you call from anywhere in the U.S. ?

That is similar to what Nextel is offering, but with Nextel you can direct connect from outside your calling area and you won't be charged for roaming.

We have 4 cell phones in the family with Nextel and Verizon. I like them both! I haven't had a long distance carrier with our home phone for a couple of years. We can pretty much call anywhere for less with the cells.

I was using my cell phone for most of my long distance but I think this will be cheaper, heck my local phone bill was already 30 dollars.
