fueding family and crocs with socks!
Am I the only one seriously disturbed by the pictures of Mickey and Goofy, especially the former? This is just my opinion, but I agree that Walt would not approve of this. I just really, really don't like this idea.![]()
Completely OT... Cinderella... Your sig:
Sounds like us! If you see another fueding family with all 4 of us in the brightest colored Crocs, look for the LGMH and say hello!
We won't even go there. Let's just suffice it to say I spot my mother in law at Disney over and over again. I see her in the safari (wilderbeast section), and the shrunken head that chief Nami has resembles her quite a bit, and I'm reminded of her in Snow White's Scary Adventure, and then again at the end of the Great Movie ride when my mother in law pops out with a broomstick in a giant cloud of red smoke....Mom and hubby not the best of friends. Put them in close quarters and oh the joy!
Kingdom Hearts didnt bother me at all. I loved it but then again Mickey had all his body parts .![]()

My suspicion is that those aren't intended to actually be Mickey and Goofy. Disney has always been really protective of the images of their major characters; even in Kingdom Hearts they had strict rules about how the characters were expected to act/look. I'm guessing those are some sort of automotons that look like the characters. Maybe the "real" Mickey and Goofy will be fighting against those things. Or maybe the main character will be expected to get rid of those imposters. I can imagine a scene where the real characters have been kidnapped and these things have been left in their place, and you have to defeat these things and then go rescue Mickey and Goofy.
Of course I could be wrong and you could be right - those could actually be intended to be the real characters. But automotons and "retro-futuristic" gadgets are popular in the steampunk style, so that's what I'm going with for now. I'm looking forward to finding out for sure when the game comes out!
By the way the artwork reminds me of another famous artists work. Cant recall the name but he does a lot of strange half human half machine type of creatures. Anyone know who I mean?
H.R. Geiger?
This game is the latest in a very long running series from the creators of the Final Fantasy video games and a unique collaboration with Disney. They were viewed as bizarre when they first came out years ago, but they have proven to hold their own with high production values and great story-telling. Everything you would expect from Disney. Mickey is a powerful and noble hero in the games, btw. They are very lucrative and some of the best Disney video games out there. Disney video games are generally not very good, but these usually are. Not always of course, but usually. It will be marketed to teenagers, btw.
That you find this disturbing, I don't know whether to laugh or cry......![]()
Hey guys I want to see, I want to see, can someone help me to find these pics!!
I think this looks fascinating! I do hope it actually comes out!! What though, is steampunk??
The game is code named "Epic Mickey" and it looks fantastic.
It's a style that had it's origin in some novels, I think. I'm sure someone else could explain it better than me. But basically it takes place in times when the steam engine was widely used (like Victorian times) and has futuristic elements. . . sci-fi touches or technology in a time period where it doesn't belong. So it's kind of a retro-futuristic style, if that makes sense. Tomorrowland sort of has that feel to it, to me at least. And so did the Timekeeper, when it was still in Tomorrowland.
