I got a room rate of $256 for a savannah view at Animal Kingdom lodge for October 3, 2002. The agent just went on and on about how this was a great rate. What do you the experts think, could I do any better? Thanks

Connie

Welcome to the DIS, tripletfamily!

I'm going to move this over to the Resorts board where they can give you all sorts of great advice and suggestions!

Not too sure if that is a great rate for savanah. I had booked a standard room for $153 with tax and was given an upgrade to pool view. It was fantastic.

Last year I got $189.00 for a savannah view room. It was an annual passholder rate. Check out mousesavers.com for codes and other discount offers. You might be able to do better.

Depending on the time of year I'm pretty sure you could do better...both of the times I stayed were under $200 for a savannah view...check out mousesavers and call disney your self and get a quote...

Hi Triplet family,

If you booked using the new code found on mousesavers.com you should be able to get it for $179.00 (plus 11% tax) per night. If one person in your party purchases an Annual Pass, you could get it for $169.00 plus tax.

Check mousesavers and see what you think. The number for reservations is on that page if you want to try it yourself.

Good luck and have a great trip!

I think you probably could do better. We have a deluxe savannah room booked for the end of August and our rate is $232 and that includes tax.

Definitely check out mousesavers for any discounts! Good luck!

Teresa

Yes...do go to mousesavers. I booked a savannah view in November for something like $165 including tax. :)

I can confirm the rates that Soccer Mom quoted. I had a code rate for Oct 12-14 of $179 for a Savannah view room and had it updated to $169 when the AP rates came out. I would call back!!

When you called CRO and spoke with the CM did you ask for or give the CM a specific code? If not, I'm prety sure they won't automatically give you one. In which case you were given the regular rack rate. Call back using one if the codes:)

Yes, do call back. If Annual pass isn't right for you, ask for code CKO which is the $179 per night room, plus 11% tax for total of $198.69 per night for a Savannah view.

Welcome to the DIS! No, that does not seem like a good rate. Try booking it yourself using a code or get a Dreams Unlimited Agent to do it for you:) ! Try try again!!
