Is this a good price?

I've just looked this holiday up on the Virgin Website and wondered if its a good price, 2 adults, 3 weeks AKL with Savannah View, flying out 26th Dec 2009 plus car hire for the pricely sum of £6414.30 - so, good price or not?

Basing your dates on 2008 prices the room would be about £4100 (rack rate) and looking at VA flights they would be just under £1000 for the same dates this year, plus car hire would be no more than about £400 for a full sized car all insurances etc. Grand total is £5500!! Allowing for yearly increase I would expect it to be no more than £5800.

If going for 3 weeks then an annual pass would save you alot and you may also be able to book part of the stay at an AP rate, but not sure if you would have to change rooms!

Yes we will have APs. So will it be best to book hotel room direct with Disney and a flydrive seperate?

Again based on same dates this year just priced up Hotelopia savanna room £ 4225 but then with discount code and Quidco or rpoints cashback it brings it down to £3,764. Virgin price seems high.
