I called AAA today and got a price of 1970.56.

That includes 6 nights/7 days at POFQ, Standard Room, Roundtrip airfare, insurance, and rental car. (for 2 adults and an infant)

What do you think veterans? Is this a good price or should I keep looking?

When are you planning to go and what airline are you flying on? This doesn't include park tickets or dining from what I can tell, so it may not be a great deal. Also if you are planning to stay on-site the whole time and don't care to see anything else in Orlando skip the car and use the Magical Express. You save a ton on the car thing first and foremost, plus they will take you directly to your resort and they will get your bags for you and you don't have to get onto any shuttle buses to get you to your car. All major bonuses when traveling with an infant. Then you also don't have to worry about parking and the Disney transportation system is so good you really don't need a car.

Like the previous poster suggested - get rid of the rental, use magical express - cut costs even more!:yay:
Also, seriously take a close look at the insurance. If I remember correctly the insurance cost is about $100 - if you cancel your trip between 6 & 45 days in advance of the vacation the cancellation fee is $100, if you cancel less than 6 days in advance the fee is $200. Hopefully, most people would know before 6 days if they were going to be unable to proceed with the vacation, meaning you would only be paying about $100! Why pay this cost up front if there is no need for it? Perhaps you are looking to purchase the insurance for other reasons, I'm not sure exactly what else the insurance covers. In any case - good luck & have a safe & fun trip!

try booking your own airfare agents charge more we have 8nights tickets dining for aliitle more than what you are paying for 2 adults and a 17yr old are airfare was only 180 nonstop what is aaa giving you what bonuses they should be giving you something they always do

We are going on 10/3 and staying until 10/9. Our price does include a 4 day base ticket. The airfare was with airtran, but in talking to DH tonight, I think we are going to try to book our own flight. We are flying out of Detroit, so there is usually always deals. Hopefully there will be this year. We have plenty of time for tickets, so I'm sure if we watch the fares we should be able to find something.

The AAA bonus includes the planet hollywood money, the mini-golf, the water craft, insurance, and a free upgrade for the rental car.

I'll have to talk to DH more about the car. We just don't want to deal with the buses and a cranky DD. I don't know, since this is our first trip with our daughter we are trying to make everything convienent. YKIM?

I still thing you are better off without the car. You are going at a time that isn't to busy so D transportation shouldn't be a big deal. As far as a cranky kid everyones kids are cranky at the end of the day so who cares. If you think about it you will be spending more time getting from place to place because you have to get into your car, park, get on some form of D transportation to get to the park and reverse the pattern to get back at the end of the day. You also have to pay to park when you can do thebus for free. It is much easier to leave the park, get on a bus and be dropped off at the door of your resort and be back a heck of a lot faster.

Air Tran is a good choice. They have good fairs. But I agree check on your own. We were able to get $189.00 round trip from Minneapolis to Orlando during spring break just by picking the right days. Don't travel on the weekend pick a mid week departure and return home and the fares are pretty good.

As far as the package, what exactly is planet hollywood money. I haven't ever heard of it , but maybe because we haven't been that often. But we do a lot of research and neither I or my DH have heard of it. Can you really play mini-golf with an infant, and if you don't get the car you don't need the upgrade.

To me this seem a little high and you still have to either purchase meal or the dining plan. I would look around a little more.
