We are going to WDW in August and for the first time we are planning to fly out of BUF. I have found flights for $220 each. Is this a good price or should I wait to find out what Southwest flight prices are like.

Thanks :)

I'm by no means an expert but I deffinately say wait.
I am sure you could find something cheaper last minute. You aren't going during a busy time (like X-mas or Easter) so I am fairly sure you could get something a little to alot cheaper.
Try Expedia.ca as the time gets closer. And sign up for southwests e-mail alerts.:)

I would say NO! The wife and myself have flown out of Buffalo 3 times for 318.00. Thats for 2 people return total. This was with Southwest.:hippie:

I've noticed in 2008 (so far) that SWA prices are no where near as good as previous years. Will there be Dings?....probably...but I'm not sure.
Thats why I just bit the bullet and booked Jetblue for August (I've noticed even their prices have risen about $40 per person since I booked).
Its really a question of "Do you have to go a certian ,exact date.....are you flexible....do you want to take a chance and wait?"
Once you answer these and other questions, you may be able to decide to wait or not.
$220 flights are still less than half the cost of out of YYZ

I would also wait for SWA.
Last Aug we flew around $320. for 2 - return.
If fact, I'm waiting for the end of August to open up.
Hope it is the same great price. :worship:

We are going in August and I booked jet blue for about $250pp incl taxes for a DIRECT flight. I am travelling with 2 young ones and I want to avoid lay overs at all cost. So, if you are being quoted $220 incl taxes return per person for a direct flight with good departure and arrival times (not too early, not too late), then I say yes, it's a good deal. Those Air Tran fares are cheap, but none are direct, and it takes over 7 hours to get there! Time is money IMO. It is hard to get a direct on Southwest too I believe....I could be wrong, but I avoided Southwest because I couldn't find a direct, and I don't like their boarding policy. Jet Blue has comfy planes (they fly Embraers to Orlando which are 2 plus 2 configurations) with personal TV systems, and I reserved our seats free of charge. We have great seats together at the front of the plane...couldn't get better than that!

they do have non stop

Thanks for all the responses. The flights I found are good times but they are NOT direct. They are with Delta and there is a stopover. I guess I will wait for SWA and hope for the best. Our dates are not flexible and we are flying on a weekend, unfortunately.

I priced some flights with SW at just under $200 US/person for May. I thought they were okay - I ended up going with Air Canada when they posted a sale a couple of weeks ago. The difference ended up being $250 for two people which we probably would have spent on tolls, a hotel (or park n' fly) and gas.

AirTran and Southwest both have direct non-stop flights. SW also has direct flights.

I flew out of BUF to MCO on Southwest (direct flight) for US$629.20 all in, round trip for a family of 4 in the last week of August last year. I booked the flights at the end of June.
