Hi all

Just got qouted $1400 for 6 nights in a standard room at Royal Pacific for 6 nights from the 23rd till the 29th with Forces discount!!
Is this a good price?

All other sites i looked at quoted the same room prices but in £££:scared1:

Any one know if this is the norm for October :confused3 Im sure it was cheaper in spetember when i checked but then wasnt everything :rotfl2:

Or if this isnt the greatest price anybody know where I can get it better?

Im really hoping to stay here for the early entry to WWOHP BUT we may have to do a few nights at a cheaper I-drive Universal area hotel 1st (We may just be able to scrape through with this)
Also need to get Tickets was hoping for the 14 night ones Only UNIVERSAL even though we only need 6 nights am I doing this the best way :confused3 we havent donE Universal since 2008

Thanks and sorry for the 101 threads lately!

:scared1: $1600?! I know prices have gone up but we paid around $1000 for a 7 night stay in 2010.

I would say though, I assume you have been quoted this price direct? Well if you book it and the rate comes down or a special offer is released then they will let you amend your booking to the lower price! In 2010, we were originally being quoted around $186 a night and eventually got this down to $142 a night thanks to a Stay More, Save More rate.

You might be better asking over on the Universal Resorts board as the guys will be more up-to-date on current prices than me.

This is an extremely busy period with the HHN on and usuall quite full at all resorts, so would assume its ok, did u check if there was any Annual pass discounts as it could be worthwhile buying 1 preferred annual pass.

like scottishgirl87 said , keep an eye on rates as you can change to the cheaper rate if any come available

You seem to get a better discount for Stay more Save more (ignoring the military discount)

Checked on the Loews website and 6 nights would be $1319 (£862 @ 1.53)
Pros- you can pay a deposit and pay the balance on checkout which could be a benefit due to you having to change everything around - at least you could book it and pay later) also if the rate drops you can cancel and rebook
Cons- the exchange rate can vary so it may cost a little more

Also looked on Complete Orlando - £833 for a double guest room (presuming this is the 2x. Queen beds)
Pros - lower price and the cost won't fluctuate deposit of £75
Cons- balance would be due before you go and you can't cancel if you find a lower price

Hope that helps!

As said SMSM is $1319.

Annual pass rate £$1219 so buying 1 AP in the family would give you $100 discount 10% off food and merchandise. they also run BOGOF on ice drinks sometimes, free parking for the parks etc. Plus any lower rate released can be applied.

Thankyou,

Ill look on the website as I did think this wasnt that amazing considering the Discount but did factor in the HHN and knew it got busy because of them "weve been before and it was manic" I might look into the AP too,

I dont think once we figure it all out that we would change too much around as im desperate to just get it sorted! Hate the feeling of it being up in the air lol and of course DH just says what ever you think babe lol

I think for a short stay 2-3 days the Military Discount would have been great - but it seems that for the longer stays the SMSM is better.

I booked on the Loews site for our August trip - nice and easy!

IMO not worth anywhere near what they charge. Can't see us going back again. Our room was very well worn, pool water too warm, no sunbeds spare, $15/nt parking, $10/nt internet.
Others, like Robert above, love them so you need to try for yourself.

We're one of the lovers. We had a week at RPR in 2010 and it was just amazing. Unfortunately for next year we don't think we can afford the full week so looking at 2 nights, keep telling myself its better than no nights!

I think we are going to do 3 nights at a I-drive/ Off site Universal hotel and 3 nights on, as this will cut our costs down abit but we can still enjoy the perks of being on site for our final day and then go to the park the day we fly home if only for a few hours :woohoo:
