Right now I can get round trip direct flight our of Boston for $165 for the times we want in August, should I buy now or will the price for August come down as it gets closer?

Shelby.
I paid $49 each way direct from Providence last August on SW. I figure anything around $160 or less round trip is decent.

I would book it. If you're happy with the times and the price, why risk losing either, if you wait? I already booked our air, for our December trip. I was happy with the price and times. I paid $153 roundtrip, non-stop (the biggest factor to us), on Spirit out of Atlantic City (which is where we would rather fly out of). I could have waited for Southwest or Airtran to open up, but I was happy with what I got with Spirit.

We fly out of BDL (hartford) but I generally figure that $160 or less is a good price. If it's your preferred flight times, and non stop flight, I'd go for it. If you have lots of flexibility with dates and times you may very well be able to get it for less, but probably not much less than $100 or so - and that's iffy and you might not see those specials until June. For many people, that's too last minute for their booking preference.

Thanks I'm still not sure but we usually only travel Jet Blue or Song due to the TV's for the kids. Right now Jet Blue is at $215 vs Song at $165. Oh I just don't know. :earboy2:

Go with Song! That's a good price! We fly out of BDL and usually pay $176.
Anything under $200 R/T and direct is good for me!!
