Is this a good package price?

After reading so many posts regarding what other people are paying for a package, I'm a bit worried I didn't get the best price with an AAA discount. So here's what I got:

WL Woods view -6 nights 10/2-10/8
2 adult
2 children
4 day park hoppers
Dining plan
$2707.98 AAA rate through a AAA travel agent

I think that sounds good. I am close to what you are paying just for my room at the GF for a week. (about $500 less actually 600 now that I did the AP thing) And you are getting the dining plan and the passes for all 4 of you. Passes for us would run around 1000 for 3 adults(one eleven year old) and one child. Hang in there and I bet you will even get cheaper rates as you get closer to that date(It is not columbus day is it?)

We got 6 nights in the CR tower in early November AAA package with dining plan we have 2 adults and 2 teens (so 4 adults for the dining plan) and we just needed 1 day MYW tickets (had old park hoppers left over for the rest of the days) and ours came to about $2860. SO yours sounds about right (our room is more and we had all adult dining, but we did not need much in the way of tickets)

All you need to do is caluculate your ticket costs, add $35/day/adult for dining and $10/day for each child and then look at the rack rate for the room, subtract 10% (which is almost exactly the same amount as the tax on the room portion (10.75% I believe) and add it all up. If it doesn't come out to what AAA quoated you you can always call them and ask for a breakdown

Yes, I believe you received the 10% discount.

One question, did you realize your 4 day hoppers are costing you $806 total without tax, but you could get a
5 day hopper for $810,
6 day hopper for $814 and
7 day hopper for $816?

Since you are staying 6 nights, you may want to slip into MK on any one of those other days.

wow 800.00 and up for those passes??? Here in toronto we get 7 day hopper with 5 times at the water parks for 333.00 canadian which in U.S would be in the 200's American how come they are so expensive for you all ?

I think the 800 something is for two adults and two kids - the total price. (not just ONE pass!)

This is the correct AAA rate. It comes out to being a 15% discount since you check-in during value season.

Depending on what you're planning, you might want to consider getting 6 or 7 day park hoppers - it only comes out to $8.52 more total for 6 day hoppers (total package of $2,716.50) or $12.78 more for 7 day hoppers (total package of $2,720.76).

Ohhhh....okay! I KNEW that I had more than a 10% discount on my AAA package. Every post I had ever seen (until now) kept referring to the 10% AAA discount on deluxe resorts. Everytime I'd figure my package, I kept coming up with a greater savings than this, and now I know why!
