My kids love earning money.(Me too :rotfl2: ) but this will be there first trip to WDW this summer, i was thinking i would buy disney dollars and let them earn them by doing things they do anyway so they can start saving their own money for stuff. Can disney dollars be used at all theme parks in dw?

ANY REPLYS WILL BE GREAT!!! :hug:
THANKS ALL!!! ::MinnieMo

YES! We also do disney $$$ for all events ... the Easter bunny brings them, Santa brought some last month ... you get the idea! We tell all family & friends and you would be surprised how fast they add up! :)

We do Disney Dollars and trading pins for jobs around the house as well as to help with our eating well and excerise kick. When she eats fruit/vegetables as a snack or goes for a walk with me, she gets a sticker on the chart. 20 stickers = a pin for her lanyard.

It's worked real well and kept my expenses in line

Absolutely! We did this for our son last year to help save money for our trip and it was great. My sn saved money and learned to keep track of it on vacation.

We did this for our trip last year, both of our dd (13, and 8) had approx. $90 each after Easter, birthdays, etc. They got to pick one "special" souviner from us, and then anything else they had to buy out of their $. We were there 6 days, souviners and food cost us under $500

It's a good idea to have the kids get Disney Dollars before their trip. It kind of forces them into saving for souveniers because they can't spend the dollars anywhere else (well, except at The Disney Store, I guess).

Around here, The Tooth Fairy leaves a Disney Dollar. They also get a few Disney Dollars from Santa and the Easter Bunny.

We did this last year and have already started it this year as well.
Plus, the good thing is my kids all will have b-days <or just did> before we go in June so my sister gives them 25.00 DD each too! Last year they had
around 50-75.00 each in Disney Dollars before we left.

I like this idea. This is actually something that DH and I have considered doing in the future for DD.
