I read on another web site the suggestion to give prepaid phone cards as part of your tip. The cards should not take the place of the tip but should be an added bonus for exceptional service.

What do you think???

Are there any other ideas for non-traditional tipping???

We did that on our last cruise after reading about it on this board. Make sure the cards are OK for international calls. From waht I have heard the CM really do enjoy these little gestures of appreciation.

Some others have suggested bringing something from the region where you live. Something that it is 'known' for.
