Is this a good deal?

I just got a quate from AAA. It is $1964 for a family of 4 staying at POP. Is this a good deal? Or is it cheaper to buy my tickets and hotel seperate?

OK. my kids will be 10 and 6 in June. We are getting 6day hoppers with a 7 night stay at POP. I have AAA and a Disney Visa. I would appreciate any and all help. Thanks!!

Go online to disneyworld.com and price the same package you have same options. that will tell you if you got the AAA discount on the AAA package.
It should be less, and yes it would be a good deal. You can always change and add a code if one comes out that is better than the AAA rate, but you can't use both.

If you want to break apart your package to compare costs, you could call Disney CRO for a quote on Pop with the AAA discount for your dates. Then you could know exactly what Pop costs for your stay. Then get a quote of your 6-day hoppers for 2 adult & 2 kids and add it all up. You can look on www.mousesavers.com for a listing of the ticket prices, and I believe there may be ways to get discounted tickets through that site too. We get annual passes, so I'm not overly familiar with MYW passes.

I'm thinking it should be a little lower with the AAA discount.

Did they add on trip insurance? Are you in a standard or preferred (slightly higher per night) room?

Disney's room rate is $109 for a standard room at Pop, during that time, and I think the AAA discount would be 15%.

The hoppers add more $ to the cost the tickets.

Just a thought, but the water park option adds a substantial amount to the cost too. If you don't plan on going to the water parks, make sure you're not paying for them.

As I think others have stated,make sure you arE only getting what you will use. Very often when you are booking a package they will sell you the extras. Make sure you are going to use these things. Some extras are ...room rating(standard or preferred), water park options, park hopper options, no expiration dates on tickets and maybe even a few more. Double check everything, I think you can get the price down a bit more.

Hey don't forget the new ZWC code out. You can get a discount on your room and you get the park hopper and water park option added to your base tickets for free...I would do that it should be alot cheaper.
