Is there something on the DIS that just super annoys you?

The things that really bug me on the DIS are:

1. The judgemental people. Some people seem to think that because someone posted info. about their financial situation that gives them the right to judge. It's no one's business to tell others how to handle their finances, even if they posted about it. No one truly knows the posters' finances except them. If they filed bankruptcy, get over it. If they charged their trip, get over it. If they have a rich relative that wants to pay for a trip for them, so what? It's no one's business. Quit being so judgemental.

2. When people treat their animals/pets like children. I HATE the phrase "I'm a fur baby mom" or "I have a fur-child". No, you don't. You have a PET, an ANIMAL. It is not your CHILD. Unless your dog came screaming through your uterus, it is your PET. Pets do NOT = kids.

I, too, wish this board had a politcal board that was separate.

:rotfl:

About the only things that annoy me are tag beggars (but I just don't read them, generally), cutesy-speak (ressie, Cindy, etc.) and lately, the slowness of the boards. They seem to be hanging up more and more often.

Other than that, I love this place. There's ALWAYS something to read! :thumbsup2

I don't care for tag beggars either. And I'm with you with the "always something to read" & "love" this place. :thumbsup2

Ok, I had to slog through all 15 frickin' pages so I can say it honestly, but my biggest PP is when a post starts with:

"I didn't read the other responses but..."

Arrrggh! :furious: In other words, I'm SO sure that MY response to you is the BEST I'm not even going to bother checking to see if anyone else has mentioned it first.

And because I'm too lazy to read the thread.

And because I'm a narcissist.

The best part is when the thread has veered sharply from its OP, and then when some imbecile does a IDRTORB, everyone else is like, you're an idiot.

I'm seriously thinking of putting anyone who starts a post with IDRTORB on ignore...:thumbsup2

Oh man, this is a tag if I've EVER seen one! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I thought this whole post was hysterical, but you do realize that there are many adopted babies, who didn't "come screaming through" their adoptive mom's uterus, right? :scared1:

People who post to say 'I want to eat at insert restaurant on insert date - will I be able to get a table?'

Why are you asking me??? Am I Disney Dining???

Get into real life and onto the phone and phone WDWDine and try to book it! Then you'll find an answer to your question.

Opps! I am so busted on that one, LOL! I'll tell you why I do it. Sometimes when I read a thread with a certain opinion in mind I find that I am swayed by what other people say in the thread. Every once in a while I like to put my original opinion out there first before it is colored by other opinions. If I am swayed by what someone says then I can give them credit.

Yes but you have to ask yourself, has my opinion been colored, or has it evolved? Evolution is a wonderful thing, my friend

I love my pets AND my children.... too bad you don't understand that. I don't understand what other people love, either, but I give them the right to do that.

Check out your own words.

No doubt! I don't do it all the time, just every once in a while. And if my opinion does evolve then I can give credit where credit is due :). Sorry if it bugs you. I can take being on "ignore" ... I'm sure it won't be the first time!

Goodness, I'm not telling people who they can and can not love. I just hate it when people call their pets children. They AREN'T children. It's a proven fact, given the fur on their backs and the four legs they walk on. I'm not being judgemental, I'm just stating a fact.

I think everybody knows that, that's almost imbecilic to say. I've heard people call their husbands or boyfriends their baby, too... that can't happen either.

Personally, I prefer my pets to be pets and my son to be a human. I never have mixed up the two and enjoy them both for what they are.

I get annoyed sometimes when people argue about such things though. People believe what they want to and arguing doesn't seem to make a difference.

I think that is so true!

This is just a minor gripe but it annoys me when people use tons of these !!!!!!! or these ???????? or even these !?!?!?!?!?! at the end of their post titles.

The OP asked what annoys us, that is what annoys me. There is a difference between having a nickname for your spouse and actually thinking that your PET is your CHILD. Comparing apples to oranges. When people actually say "Well, my pet IS my child. I am a fur-mom/dad", that's simply not true...and it annoys me. There is a difference between having a CHILD, a human being, and a PET...an ANIMAL.

:thumbsup2 Exactly.

I'm really startin' to feel offended by all this talk about my kids.

I have a right to post their pic in my sig!!!!!!!!! :snooty:

:upsidedow

I am offended by cats that throw mice up in the air as people's signatures.:scared1: I have a terrible fear of mice. I cringe when I see that.
;) ;)

Uncle, can I just say that I'm mesmerized by the trampoline mouse in your siggy?

Everytime I come across one of your posts life just stops until I see the mouse fly upward at least five or six times!
