I heard that Disney might make a sequel to the live-action Aladdin called Aladdin II and I'm curious to know what has been talked about so far? Will Naomi Scott return as Jasmine and Will Smith as Genie. What I can guess Aladdin II will focus on is Aladdin and Jasmine's wedding like in Aladdin And The King Of Theives did

There was talk but it has been shelved with no plans to make it.

I wonder why Disney shelved Aladdin II? Because the live-action Aladdin was a hit and I bet they were gonna start a trilogy of Aladdin live-action movies. But I did hear that the original title of Aladdin II was gonna be called Genies

My guess is that they had other projects further along and then after Snow White failed they stopped pre-production on all other live action remakes for awhile.

It also might have had something to do with the Will Smith incident at the Oscars. I think a lot of studios reassessed their projects over that.
