It looks like a child must be at least 8, and weigh 90 pounds. As for making ressies, I would call ahead and reserve it when the sixty day mark is here for you to be able to book shore excursions.
My dh and dd(10) parasailed in tandem in January.....they loved it. I was amazed that my daughter did it because she tends to not be a risk-taker. She thought it was the coolest! Dh said it was so wonderful to share that with her. He had parasailed alone in the past, but enjoyed sharing the excitement so much, he'll never go alone again.
I'm surprised DW hasn't responded to this yet.. I'm sure she will!
In the meantime, one thing not mentioned sofar, is unless you're going up you're not allowed on the boat. So either your daughter goes out by herself or you go up with her.
Mark's wife here. When I went back in May I asked about others (namely Mark) joining me on the boat just to take photos. They only allow those going up to be on the boat since space is limited and they sell each space.
In addition they do have limits as to who can go up alone. We had a young boy on our boat of about 12 who wanted to go up alone but they made him go up with one of the other members of his party. Don't know if it has to do with wind conditions or what but he really didn't have a choice.
I would call and ask at least, but I don't think they bend the rules too often.
My daughter meets the age limit but may not meet the weight limit. She will most likely only be 5 - 10 lbs under.
Does anyone know why they have a low-end weight limit?
Would that weight limit apply if we were going together? I am a couple pounds over the low limit ;-) so would that then be an issue??? Also, do they weigh them there?
