Is there much for a 22 month old to do on the ships?

We are planning a trip to WDW in November. We are currently booked at the AKL. However, since we started planning the trip, it has become increasingly difficult for my stepfather to get around. I feel like if we go to WDW, he will spend most of his time in the room. Right now, he's at the point where he refuses to use a wheelchair yet it is almost impossible for him to walk more than several blocks at a time.

Anyway, I started to think that we might be better off if we took a cruise. I figured that there would be a lot of activities close by available for him and that getting to meals wouldn't mean a huge walk.

My concern is that my son will be 22 months at the time and I wondered if there was much for him to do on the ships.

Thanks.

We just returned from the Wonder a couple weeks ago. Our daughter was 23 months and she had a great time. We used the nursery some but for the most part she was with us. She loved riding the elevator and going up and down the stairs. She also really liked the character events, especially the deck parties where she could dance. Swimming, eating and just exploring took up alot of her time. We would definetly do it again!
