Is there gambling on any Disney Cruise (East Coast)??

On some islands where DCL stops there are casinos. IE: Nassau, St. Thomas, etc

essentially correct but a fine point ...
Nassau yes, St Thomas no . . . .

As far as I know the only casino in the USVI is on St Croix

"U.S. Virgin Islands is a country in Caribbean with legal gambling. U.S. Virgin Islands is divided into states and then cities. There are 1 states with gambling facilities in U.S. Virgin Islands which have 1 legal gambling facilities available in total.

The types of gambling available in U.S. Virgin Islands are: casinos.

The largest of the states in U.S. Virgin Islands is
Saint Croix with 1 gambling facilities,"

It is Absolutely one of the BEST things for us as well. ::yes::

Same here. It is one of the handful of reasons that I add together to justify the additional cost of Disney. I wouldn't mind a casino being on board, but I know it saves me $ by not having one.

St Martin has casinos. My mother in law will be stopping by one I am sure! She is also a bingo fanatic, lol

On a list of 100 reasons I would chose a Disney cruise over another cruise line, NOT having a casino wouldn't appear anywhere on it.

It's right up there with Liberty of the Seas on RC having a rock climbing wall. They have it, so I may or may not use it but if they didn't it wouldn't impact me in any way whatsoever.

That being said, I wish they did have a casino. The noise from slots can be annoying, so I would prefer if they had their own room (or were VERY quiet, which I know they don't like) but a few table games would be nice.

You can smoke on Carnival casinos. We went on a Carnival cruise in March and I hated taking my LO through the casino deck to get to our emergency meet up spot.

I completely agree! I rarely gamble, occasionally on a Vegas trip but have had trips their with no gambling. That being said, I'm not quite sure why people are so bothered by something happening in an area they are not required to go to. I have a casino a few miles from my house but I haven't been there in years so I'm pretty sure if a small one was on the boat it wouldn't effect me. I do like that there isn't one but it wouldn't change my experience if it was there because the cruise gives me the option of doing what I want.

The ONLY mainstream line I know of that has a casino AND it's ALL non-smoking is Celebrity.

I'm pretty surprised honestly. I certainly understand and actually think they should be able to if they want to, I'm just surprised they are allowed to.

I'm sure when I gambled on my last cruise Carnival cruise I noticed the smoking, but I honestly can't remember it.
