We won't know for sure until April next year. But most people agree that they will have it next year because A) It was offered as a Bounce Back for people who are there this year & B) The economy seems to be getting worse, not better and as long as the economy is down Disney needs to give people incentives like Free Dining to get you there.
Having the Visa lets you book (in April) just before the general public can. Also for every $100 you charge to the card you get $1 in Disney Rewards Dollars that you can use at the parks, on your tickets, ect. There are a few other perks, like a free picture at Epcot & you can charge your vacation to your card and not have interest for 6 months.
WOW! Thank you...Kinda had the feeling it will be offered for the reasons you mentioned as well. Where would I need to check to make sure I don't miss it and able to book for next year when time???
All you have to do is watch this board in April. People will be talking about it weeks before it comes out, but as soon as it does it will be on here.
I'm not sure how long it's been. On the spot on the card where it says 'member since' and then the year, mine says Charter Member. I guess I got mine when they first started it. Our last trip was Jan 07, so I've been saving for next years trip since then. I put everything on my card. Gas is a big part, then I also pay my car insurance on there and all the money I spend at Christmas. It really adds up. Also if you refer people and they get a card, you get a $25 bonus. So if anyone out there wants to get a card, I can refer you
Disney Visa holder's are being offered FD right now for some dates through Dec.
If you go before Oct 24, I believe, you can book FD bounceback for 09. Does anyone think they might extend BB until the end of this visa promotion?
Yes. We booked the bounceback before leaving last Saturday w/ Disney instead of AAA. CR told me that we can book with AAA and apply the same code DJZ (i think) and we'd get free dining. It is from August to Oct. 1. We are going back for 10 days next year.
I will admit though, the deluxe dining was WAY TOO MUCH FOOD! We could not use our snack credits fast enough. Needless to say, we brought home lots of mickey ricekrispies and chocolates, etc.
My trips not till 09/27/09 and i'm dying waiting for April when they announce free dining..............I hope it's offered next year and while were there!!!!!!
It's interesting that you say you have to wait till next April for the free dining dates - here in the UK, we can book with Disney UK for minimum 5 nights and have free dining at moderate and deluxe resorts from 2 August to 3 October 2009.
I've got my fingers crossed for the same period in 2010!
