Is there enough free or almost free things to do on the Boardwalk

for me to do with a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old? I was considering adding a day to my UPH but it isn't know how to just add a day. I couldn't find out exactly what to do til I get there and I would rather plan how to spend my day now.

I know we will look in the bakery and check out the boardwalk community hall too.

You mean to take up a whole day? No. You could window shop. Take boat rides to Epcot, YC, MGM...but depending on the time of day, the boats can be crowded. It costs money to rent the bike surries. You could walk over and walk around the YC/BC beach, get an ice cream at Beaches and Cream.

I just need to fill some time up. I will be moving to the BWV from the Sheraton so i won't get there til around 9-10 am and have to be back in the resort by 2:30 to meet my DH and other kids.

Hmm. Probably not. There really just isn't much there, esp if you have small children. The street activities don't happen until the evening, if at all, and the daytime is just people moving back and forth to the parks and their hotels. There aren't many stores (somebody probably knows how many, but I think you can count them on one hand), the bikes cost money and you'd have to do the peddling for you all, the boats are crowded getting people from place to place. You could eat a meal, and wander, but that's about it.

Why don't you go to Downtown Disney instead? You can catch a bus outside the resort and you can DEFINITELY spend most of a day there. Many many more shops, fun activities for the kids like the lego store and sprinklers, more dining options, Ghiradelli's, etc.

Also keep in mind if you're checking in that morning that you may even have your room ready, and you can relax there. Or pack the kids swim stuff in a backpack and when you check in, go swimming.
