Is there anything that compares to the old Adventurer's Club?

We loved that place. The atmosphere, the radio show, the mask room, the character interaction. We spent a good amount of the evenings having a few drinks and enjoying the club.

So is there anywhere that has the same kind of vibe?

I don't know anything about the Adventurer's Club, but it sounds similar to what I've read about Trader Sam's Grog Grotto.

Zip. That kind of experience seem to be gone forever...

Sad.

I don't understand why Disney moved away from content aimed at adults without children. Granted, Pleasure Island had issues - full blown nightclubs were probably too far. But the Adventurer's Club was unique.

Somewhere in our old home movies - taken on an old video camera - I think we still have some footage of the club.

There is nothing quite like it, but you may enjoy both Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar at Disney Springs and, as mentioned, Trader Sam's Grog Grotto a the Polynesian. They are closer to that feel than anything else there at the moment.

Trader Sam's is the closest you'll get, but it's really not that close. No characters, no shows. They do have the shrinking stools, though, and the bartenders are fun.

Yes, no more Adventurers' Club experiences. The Skipper Canteen pays tribute to the Adventurers' Club with it's decor and Kungaloosh dessert but otherwise a much different experience.

Thanks. It'll just be hubby and I so we can check them out this trip.

I've had so many wonderful experiences at WDW, but Adventurers Club is one of my regrets--I always planned to go but just never made it inside. I remember the fateful night when we were passing by it and DW said we should go in and check it out but I was too tired. By the time of our next trip it was gone.:(

I actually wasn't a fan of AC, but I realize a lot of people liked it. I had so much more fun at the Comedy Club/ Improv back in those days than I ever did at AC. Now with all the new bars trying to separate themselves by doing something different, I just don't see any of them being really that good. We tried Abracadabar or whatever it was called last fall and it was just OK. Did Jock's with my son and son in law in May and it was about the same. Haven't done Sam's yet. Also trying to figure out what the Edison will be.

I miss 8 Traxx. Spent so much time there we never made our way to AC. Sad. I also miss all the street performers and outdoor bands. I have never been to any of the parks at night because we spent every night at DD/Pleasure Island.

Miss the one and only Sheryl Crow playing outdoors on NY eve whatever year that was...pirate: Argggghhhhh

(it wasn't actually NY eve folks)

I also miss the Adventurers club. I haven't been to "Disney Springs" (will always be Downtown Disney to me) since it closed, out of spite, lol. Going to attempt to visit DS my upcoming trip, I figure I've mourned the AC long enough. I recently found out that Joe Rhodes designed the AC and many of the artifacts in it were from his own personal collection. I didn't know that.

I really miss the Adventurers Club and Comedy Warehouse too - I haven't seen anything like it anywhere else in the world.

If I won the lottery I'd definitely open up my own versions :D
