So I went back and looked at my old video tapes. I have the whole 20 minute radio play on very lo res video! And a few shots elsewhere in the club. I so wish I had more.

I did a few screen grabs.

This is the only interior shot I really have, looking down from the balcony towards the Colonel.

Upclose at the Colonel. When my video starts, they are singing the club anthem. He talks for a bit about what's going on next.

I don't remember their names anymore. I really wish I had their show on tape but I don't. Honestly, I enjoyed the mask room more than the radio play.

I think Trader Sam's is as close as it gets, sadly.

Adventurers Club was my single favorite thing on property... I still get misty eyed when I think about it.

However, I do think that Skipper's Canteen and Trader Sam's help fill that void. Skipper's has some great AC props and hidden tributes, and the cast members (at least mine did) know the history of the Club and can talk about it with you. Maybe you'll even get a Kungaloosh!

Trader Sam's has a very AC feel as well with the decor and fun little effects with the drinks.

Both of these together do a really good job at capturing that old feeling... but I still do miss it.

It's sad that so many will never know the fun of the Adventurer's Club.

We're showing our age here...

I'm in my 20s and I remember it! I got lucky that I had good parents. When I went when I was 17 we finished almost every night of the trip there because we knew it would be gone within a year.

For people who missed it, I feel for you... because it was the most unique thing on property. Adult entertainment with a Disney twist. Perfection.
