DD and I ate there this January and we both ordered the lobster salad with lobster soup. It was awful! The lobster salad had so much mayo in it it was gross. The lobster soup didnt taste like lobster bisque to us. I would like to go back again with the whole family as I like the setting but would like to get a good meal there. Any suggestions? Thanks:surfweb:

Last visit, I had the BBQ salmon sandwich and thought it was excellent.

Look at their menu online and see if anything looks good to you. I ate lunch there last summer and it was excellent. It was my favorite meal of the trip. I had a pesto risotto dish that is not on the menu anymore. It was so good. We are going back this year, but for dinner.

OMG - we ate there in October for Lunch and LOVED it... Can't wait to go back again this time.... I agree - check out the menu... I thought it was all so good... we had a little bit of everything since we all ordered something different and shared it...

Love eating at Coral Reef! Our next trip will be our first in 4 years that we haven't eaten there :( I just had to make room to try new restaurants!

I LOVE the blackened catfish with pepper-cheese grits (it has some type of tomato reduction on it, too). The tastes together are like heaven in your mouth. DS (and 4 other family members) liked the steak. We also liked the mushroom and lobster soup. The key lime tart is good for dessert, as well as the bailey's chocolate mousse thingy they have. The tart was the best, though, and usually I only love key lime pies I make from scratch.

In Jan I had the blackened catfish and hated that tomato salsa on top, it totally overpowered the dish. I would maybe order dish again but would ask them to leave the tomato reduction off. In May we asked the waiter what the chef recommended and he said the mahi mahi. Both DH and I had it and loved it.

I've also had the steak and Caeasar's salad on prior visits and both were okay.
