Friends of mine are going down with their almost one year old. Are there any attractions suitable for an almost one year old ? Would he need his own Express pass from RPR when they stay there or are the parents' passes accepted?

Since he won't need a park ticket, he shouldn't need his own express pass at his age, but if he did, it shouldn't be a problem to get one from the front desk at the RPR.

There are definitly attractions that he would be able to ride (similar to the one's at disney) Such as 1 fish, 2 fish (same as Dumbo), the Caro-seussal in seuss landing at Islands of Adventure, there's also a barney show/play area in Universal Studios (as well as fivel and curious george areas, but they seem aimed at older kids). Hmm..thats all thats coming to mind now, but I'm sure there are others...

A one year old won't remember anything anyway. Your friends could ride the things they want to do and use the baby swap so they can take turns.

He can also ride ET, and I also believe Cat in the Hat and the new trolley ride.

We went last march to Disney, not US, but my dd was 2 weeks away from her first birthday. She did get to go on rides but she really enjoyed just being there, there is so much to look at. US and IOA's spots for kids are so colorful too. My dd was great last year. I would take a 1 year old again.

The whole Suess Landing section is centered around smaller kids ( I will take the others word on here about taking 1 year olds since I don't have one) Also, there is a thing in Jurassic Park which you just get to look at a life like Triceratops, she may be into that, its just kind of a show in a way. Probably all the shows there. And there are quite a few things at the main Uni park too. I would have been skeptical about taking a 1 yr old until I read some of the posters on here that have done it. So I will take their word for it.

That's been gone for several years

What?? I did not know this, I guess I haven't done it in a while, so that explains my ignorance, what happened, and did they replace it with something?

I didn't know it had gone either!

That's a shame, I'm worried my DD will be so bored at Universal. And IOA to a lesser extent...

Oh no, when did they take that away? Wasn't that particular Dino named Sarah?

I am also interested in views on taking little ones as I am hoping to plan a trip for Nov 07, with a 25 month old and an 11 month old. I can't make my mind up what to do???

Little ones are often happy for the most part just to 'be' there and walking around... We have taken our kids as young as 8 months.... just lots of child swap, which the older girls like because often they can ride twice in a row (when we dont have FOTL)

Suess landing is so bright and colorful. Cat in The Hat spins fairly fast, so I dont recomend it for young young kids...

If it is just the three of them, the adults will be riding a lot of things alone...

The dino was named Cera (Sarah), and it attraction ceased function in 2002 or 2003.

When we last went to both Universal Parks, we had a 2yr old with us. In Islands of Adventure, he could do everything in Seuss Landing (he especially loved the High in the Sky Seuss Trolly Train Ride!), he was also able to do the Pteranodon Flyers, The Flying Unicorn, and play on all of the play areas. In Universal Studios, he was able to ride E.T., play in Woody Woodpecker's Kidzone (which is right next to E.T.), and watch all shows. So children can still have fun even if they can't necessarily ride everything! :jumping1:
