Taken from WebmasterDoc's update regarding the final DVC Member Day of the summer...................
Tonight's speaker was Greg Emmer, VP of Attractions/Operations Line of Business with Disney. His presentation was titled, "The Stewardship of Disney Heritage and Legacy."

His talk was similar to what he presents to upper level management at WDW and was very thought provoking and stimulating. It covered the process used by all Disney management areas in stimulating their CM's towards the common goal of the company- To Make WDW the most special place in the world.
Does anyone that counts still believe in this stuff, or is this just the nice speech that accompanies the PowerPoint presentation? AV? Anyone? Bueller?

Like any corporate PowerPoint presentation, there are some that really do believe it, some that pay lip service, and some that simply ignore it.

For a service organization I always thought it was more important how the staff in direct contact with the public trained, not the seminars that management types get to go to. A quick look at what has happened to WDW's employee orientation programs is far more telling than a spiffy PowerPoint slide show for men in ties.

I just think it's sad that people still use PowerPoint :)
