Is there any way to get a tour of the engine room?

We'd love to see the inner workings of the ship. Are there any tours that show you the engine room? Deck 1?

I think they might show a walkthrough of the engine room in one of the videos you can watch on DCL's on-demand TV. They have a series of shows about the ship, how it works, etc. My son always liked watching that. You should check it out.

We have done it on Celebrity. DCL should also make an effort to offer one - particularly right now when the guest numbers are down.

We were lucky enough to get a tour of the Fantasy's engine room back a few years ago. We were at the CC return cruisers party and was talking with an Officer who was an Engineer. He accidentally hit my husband's arm and spilled my husband's drink down the front of my husband's shirt. The engineer was so upset, even though we kept saying it was fine, he asked our names and stateroom number. Later that evening we found a note on our "fish" inviting us to tour the engine room. We had to go down ladders and through hatches and stuff...it was great!!! It was so clean you could eat off the floors.

Dh would LOVE this. I can't wait to tell him this story. He would gladly wreck a shirt to see the engine room.
When he was a young man, right out of welding school, he worked a the Phila. Navy Yard. Worked on lots of Navy ships and an AC carrier. After that, he worked for a company that specialized in ship repair. That's when I entered the picture. He has been wanting an engineering tour on any Disney ship for yeeeeeeaaaars. oh my. I think after 23 Disney cruises, we've earned one. (Me? I'd be like, "Oooo, that's sparkly." It would all be wasted on me.)
You know when stateroom hosts, servers and head servers recognize you, you've cruised a LOT. I'm sure you know this feeling as well. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes
