I can't punch my memory maker card and put it on my old photopass lanyard? Looking at the back and it looks like it will be okay as long as I don't punch near the black strip or near the barcode?

Just making sure there isn't some weird chip or something in the card that would inactivate it. Wearing on a lanyard is so much easier than carrying it around.

We are staying at the Dolphin and not buying bands, so I am going to need to carry around this card on our park days.....

Thanks!

AFAIK you should be able to. When I was there 2 weeks ago, I had it linked on my band, but I saw other people with the cards and they were scanning them the same way as they did the bands - holding them up to the RFID reader. So, I am pretty sure that in one corner of the card there is a "weird chip" in the card, but as long as you don't punch through it it shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for the input! I am considering one of those plastic lanyard holders just in case..don't want to screw up my card but I wish is was the same as the old photopass on a lanyard....

Actually, you may want to do the plastic holder. After my first trip, I got one of those and it worked wonderfully. I'd layer my ticket in the front, followed by any FP, my credit/debit card, drivers license, then my room key and the Photopass card at the back. That way, I never had to take it out and they could scan it through the plastic. Using the RFID, they should still be able to do so and you wouldn't have to worry about messing up the "weird chip" accidentally.

(I only mentioned the way I layered stuff to illustrate 1. how much they could hold, and 2. that after I got the plastic holder, I no longer took a wallet with me to the parks.)
