That you listen to just chill out? I mean music you just listen to, but don't interpret the lyrics or anything. You may have listened to over 20 times and still not know like any of the words.
Anybody get what I'm talking about? Music you like that just sounds good, but you don't need to sing along to, or hear the lyrics at all.

When I feel like chillin I listen to Nappy Roots, it's this awesome rap group that has some chillllllin beats, I dont know the words to too many of their songs so I can just listen and relax.
I also love listening to oooold school big band/swing music, like the Glenn Miller Orchestra and Duke Ellington and stuff like that. Alot fo those songs don't have lyrics they're just good chillin tunes.
(Check out In THe Mood by the Glenn Miller Orchestra--it's my all time favourite)

Well music I listen to chill, is like Jason Mraz, Bushwalla, The Makepeace Brothers, Eric Hutchinson, and Tristan Prettyman. But if it is something with no lyrics(not sure if that is what you want) I would say Jessica by the allman brothers

Caitlin, that was my tap number a few years ago (In The Mood). XD

I could listen to some music on repeat for hours, and be calm.

(ie I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing, On The Line, etc)

I've never really been into just plain music with no voice to accompany it. The only exception is Fur Elise, which I love. But I listen to that when I'm trying to sleep.

I find, Iron & Wine really really calms me. I just love the guitar, and the man's voice. It's beautiful. I have The Trapeze Swinger, it's a nine minute song from the soundtrack to In Good Company, and I know none of the words. But it's still something I listen to quite often.

OMG another song that I chill out to and actually put on if I want to take a nap cuz it relaxes me and puts me to sleep..
STAR TUNNEL from Space Mountain!!!
I just put it on repeat and drift off.

(thanks george for sending it to me :goodvibes )

I pretty much have to look up lyrics and interperate them in my own way. It's an illness I tell you xD I can't think of anything that I listen to without singing along or paying attention to the lyrics.
:upsidedow

Philip Glass works for me, and yoga CDs too.
Massive Attack and other trip-hop artists are also good.

Teardrop by Massive Attack is another one of those songs that I really love to just listen to.
I heard an acoustic version of it in the bookstore the other day and it was fairly awful.

Classical. I love instrumental music to just help me relax. I was tired one day we went out shopping, so I sat in the car while my mom picked up some things and turned on the Classical station.

My mom came in and said What are you listening to? And I was like, it relaxes me.

That's got to be one of my favourite songs ever! I feel like putting on my black 40's-inspired dress, pinning my hair up, and going swing danceing! :rotfl:

To relax me I'll normally listen to certain era's of classical music (not Baroque as its more my usual music haa, normally I'll put Romantic classical era on) or Soundtracks. Another one is the group Mediaeval Baebes their music really relaxes me and its so beautiful to listen to.

Hey Hils....

Pretty much any of the calmer country can relax me anytime. I especially like Lee Ann Womack, but you don't really like her. I Hope You Dance is pretty soothing. I suggest some of the work of Reba McEntire (The older stuff), Rascal Flatts (Just not Me & My Gang or Bob That Head), Allison Krauss (This girl sings like an ANGEL. It is the calmest and most beautiful I've ever heard.)

Also, some of Colbie Caillat's stuff like The Little Things, Bubbly, and Battle are pretty soothing. She just has one of those calm serene voices.

I can play fur elise on the piano :)

Iron & Wine is my favourite band. I know almost every one of their songs. :goodvibes

The Batman Begins soundtrack is what I listen to when I need to chill.

But when I just need background noise (like when i'm home alone) I put on Papa Roach, The Dark Knight soundtrack (I don't chill to this one because it's more fast paced), or Linkin Park.

Actually, I use Linkin Park to chill, too. I've listen to all their songs so many times, I don't even need to think about the lyrics any more.

I hardly know the words to any of the songs on my ipod. I kinda just...dance. xD

If the song has words, I need to know the lyrics. I'll sing along and chill, or I'll listen to a soundtrack. There's no really "in the middle" for me.
