Is there another stimulus check coming??

I was at my friends house today and her mom came in with her mail. She had a notice that she was receiving a stimulus check in the amount of $250 and her dad got his notice last week for the same amount. Is there another one coming and I have just missed hearing about it

Sounds like a scam. They haven't announced anything about stimulus checks.


Edited...yes, I forgot about people on SSI. They will be getting a check. If you are working, you should have noticed a slight increase in your check starting about April 1st

The only people who will be getting the stimulus checks this year will be those people who are on social security/disability. For everyone else they will be getting less taxes taken out of their paychecks and will see a little extra there.

These stimulus checks are also coming out for Social Security Survivors benefits. I'm a widow with small children and I got the notice.

My patients on disability are all getting a $250 dollar check sometime by the end of May.

My mom just got her notice! She's on Social Security. I'm glad to hear about the SSI applicants getting $250.00!

My daughter who is 23 was a dependent on our taxes for the calendar year 2007 so therefore did not receive a stimulus check last year (neither did we because of our income). Calendar year 2008 she was not claimed as a dependent on our taxes - that made her eligible to receive an additional $600 refund year. She got her income tax refund check yesterday and the additional $600 was included with her "normal" refund.

My mother mentioned a few weeks ago that she would receive a $250 check because she is retired (former federal employee). She does not receive Social Security.

We also collect early social security retirement (we are under 65) and we received our notice last week that we will also receive the $250 stimulus deposit.
Also when I did the 1040A for my nephew for 2008, he received the extra $300 in his tax refund because he did not get the $300 stimulus check in May 2007 for tax year 2008. He was happy and so was my sister.

If they are on Social Security than this would be for that. Certain Veterans receiving compensation and those on Social Security will be receiving their Stimuls checks in May or June. It is $250 and they have to do nothing. They can not get more than 1 Stimulus so if they are receiving both Veterans and Social Security than they will only get it from one of the 2.
