Is there an up to date “All things DDP” thread or sticky?

We haven’t been to Disney in several years - there are some new facets to the dining plan like mobile ordering and alcoholic drinks that I’d like to get up to speed on. There’s a 2018 sticky...is it all current info? Thanks for the help.

I don't even see the 2008 sticky you're referring to.

Basically, all dining plans include a refillable mug.
QSDP is 2 QS meals consisting of entree and drink and 2 snacks per person per night of stay.
DDP is 1 TS consisting of entree, dessert, and drink, 1 QS and 2 snacks per person per night of stay
DxDDP is 3 meal credits and 2 snacks. You can use your meal credits at TS or QS. If used at TS a la carte, you get app, entree, dessert, and drink.
All adults 21 and over can choose an alcoholic beverage of restaurant's choice for their drink entitlement. Under 21 can choose a specialty beverage. Many have reported being able to get virgin cocktail type drinks as their specialty at TS restaurants.

When using a QS and sometimes a snack credit, you can use the mobile order option on your phone through MDE, but you don't have to.
QSDP and DxDDP credits are not separated by adult and kids and for RIGHT NOW, kids can get an adult meal with these plans. On the regular DDP, kids can only get kids meals at TS, but can get adult at QS. However, the PDF still states that kids must order from the kids menu, so the ability to use kids credits for adult meals could go away at any time.

Tax is included with all plans, but tip is NOT.

I can't think of any other pertinent information.

Good catch - I meant to type 2018. I corrected. And I should have been more specific - we will have the quick service plan and our kids are 17 and 20.

Do all quick service places have order ahead capability - or just some? How does it work - specific pick up window? I thought I saw somewhere where you can say you’ve arrived so food comes out hot. Do people find this to be a time saver overall? And on the alcohol, is there a set price limit? Or does it vary as to what’s covered and what’s not? My husband drinks beer, but I’m more of a cocktail drinker - which usually cost more.

I think 99% of the QS have mobile order. We haven't used it, but I think you can even go into MDE on your phone now and play around with the mobile order app to see which restaurants are there. You are correct that there is a specific pick up window and you do tell them "we've arrived." As to time saver, it just depends on how busy the restaurants are when you want to eat. Theoretically, it should save time because you aren't waiting in line to order behind people who don't know what they want to order.

There's not a set price on alcohol. There is a sticky on QS alcohol that was being kept up to date when alcohol was first added. I'm not sure if the OP of that sticky has continued to monitor it, but the first few posts will give you an idea of what has been covered in the past.
