It's also how we discovered the F&W fest...another reason we love October!

So the only deluxe rooms with the discount is AKL and WL?

Nope. Still not buying it. The only way to continue the profits is to continue some discounts.

And if they don't.......... then maybe I'll finally get a chance at some reasonable crowd levels again. They are addicted to packed parks and know how that happens.

I agree, we've been going for the past 17 years (been before that but don't really have a memory of it). Anyhow....we've always gotten something. It wasn't always free dining, but then again we went when there wasn't such a thing, we had dining vouchers LOL

I can't imagine only offering rack rate and thinking they are going to make a profit like they are now. We spend upwards of 4,000 for our family of 7 to go. We stay on average 10 days, only 4-5 days at the parks without hoppers or waterpark options. We stay value, as it's what we can afford to stay the longest at. We'd go off site before not taking a vacation at all, but then that would be a loss of revenue from us eating and shopping on site all week plus our 4,000.....can't imagine we'd be the only family that would have to do that.

Agreed! Wouldn't all those off-site hotels LOVE for Disney to try to go without discounts! And that's not a chance Disney wants to take. There's a LOT of overhead involved in all those resorts.

I ask---because the later October dates are EXACTLY the dates we are headed out to WDW before our cruise. I don't know if a travel DVD from WDW travel would get here by the 6/7/11 cut off date....

Not only is rack rate a "deal" but it seems by the different dates for Deluxe you can forget going the last week in October unless you want to stay value or mod.

I wish I could get a PIN code of any sort...I have been getting PINs for my MIL on one e-mail and just started getting them today for her on my primary personal e-mail - the one that I have had registered with Disney for years. I have never received one by any method!!! Man alive, what does a gal have to do to get a PIN?! I'd love to get that October one!!! Come on PINs!!!

we are going last week of october first week of nov..by the looks of this pin discounts for our time share do not look likely. what a bummer
