I received a pincode via email!! Yay! Too bad two weeks are blacked out for October. Ugh. Now I have to decide if it's worth changing my dates. I wish those two weeks in October weren't blacked out.

For stays most nights:
2/27–3/5, 5/8–5/27, 5/31–6/4, 8/21–10/8, 10/23–10/29, 11/13–11/19, 11/27–12/3 and 12/11–12/24/11.

Gah! The blackout dates are right when we want to go too! Guess we'll have to sit tight and hope for an AP discount or something else...

Just booked my trip for Oct 28-Nov 2 at the Poly and was told I had a PIN attached to my name. It was 30%, not bad, but will be looking for the 40% discounts down the road...I hope!

I was shocked as well!! She said that the pin attached to my name was good from Jan. to Dec. with no blackout dates. But I needed to book by Feb. 16. I was floored that it was open for the entire 12 months.

Food & Wine is for the entire month of October, and the week following Columbus Day is also blacked out. Of course, that's the week I want to go.

That's what I don't get...I would think, if anything, they would black out Columbus Day weekend and maybe the week before Halloween, since that week seems to be getting pretty popular, not the middle 2 weeks. I was hoping to go the third week, but I got this pin also and booked the first week with 40% off AKL.

I called to check and see if I had a pin in my name before I booked. I did! Unfortunately like some of you I wanted to book for one of the weeks in October that's blacked out. I booked for November instead, but that's really not when I wanted to go since it will be right before the kiddos Thanksgiving break and they'll be out of school for 2 weeks in a row...but oh well.

Also have to pay rack rate for a couple days since the code is only good for 7 days sunday to sunday which isn't the best fit for us. The restrictions with some of the dates are a little frustrating!!!

It's the pin code that lots of others have posted. But when she gave me the code, it was just 3 digits...isn't that a general public offer code? So couldn't anyone use it instead of waiting for a pin????

Like I said earlier... I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a discount, but if I can't get one, we are still going. To us, Disney is still worth the amount we are paying (and is worth more in our opinion... but don't let them hear that!). We have not been able to go since 2007 so this is a HUGE trip for us.

I want a pin!!! We already booked CSR for October 24-31. I had to take a King Room cause no standard rooms are available. We got free dining last year and it was a nice savings! I would love the free dining and them see if we can afford BC or AKL. Fingers crossed for everyone!

we usually go in may/dec every yr but this year we are going in oct. we've been the 1st of oct. before but we are wanting to go 1st of october and praying for free dining again. we are spoiled with the fd, it is the best deal! i was looking on the past deals on mousesavers and fd was out in oct. and i believe it was offered in may. it's killing me not to have our disney trip booked!! looking forward to going back in oct. we love the halloween party!!

Yes, I thought so too. I am looking for early Nov, just 2 nights pre-cruise at BC but can't stand to pay rack rates.
Maybe I'll call and see what's attached to our names.

My pin had 15 digits in it. I am not sure if they are all the same or not.

PIN codes are distributed randomly. I have done every single thing every person here on the boards ever suggested as a sure fire way of getting one .... but I never have. Sometimes you just don't fit the target of who they are distributing to.

the code that was attached to my name/address was 2 letters and one number.

i know exactly how you feel.
i mentioned at the beginning of this thread i have been going to the motherland since 1974.
started staying on site once the resorts went up.

i signed up for everything that has been mentioned by other disers on ways to increase my chances of getting a pin.

in all those years, i have never received a pin.
now i received two of them with a few days apart.....


i assumed it was because of my geographic location on why i never received pin codes prior.
i'm in the chgo area and schaumberg has the dvc/disney place.

many homies from this northern area already do disney vacations and they don't wait for pins.

i just can't figure out the logic to it.


i can share this with you.
when i called originally, the CM said the pin included, and then she named 2 of my 4 sons.....
the last time i took both of them together was in May 1997............


i so hope that you and all the other homies get the pin that you need!!

I used to get PINs ALL the time. Seriously, at least 3 a year...even when I had an AP. I haven't gone in almost two years, and NOTHING. I book a trip for my mom under a new email addy for her and she gets a PIN 2 days later.
