Is there an Extra Charge for a Trundle Bed?

Is there an extra cost for having a room at POR with a trundle bed? We are a family of (2) adults and (1) 3 year old and a 1 year old. I had one Cm tell me yes there was and another say no there wasn't. I would really like a definate answer before I get there. Does anyone know? Thanks!!

Yes there is a $15.00 charge per night for the trundle bed.

Without having an extra person in the room is there still a charge for the trundle bed? Does the CM at check-in charge you or do they waive the charge most of the time?

If you request/reserve a room with the trundle bed, you get charged the $15/night. (My understanding is that it is a separate booking category. Could be wrong about that, though). If you just happen to be assigned such a room at check in, you do not get charged.

I do not know if/when the front desk waives the charge. I would think if you used the trundle, you'd get charged for sure.

My understanding is that the extra charge of $15 is actually for that 5th person (over the age of 3)....so if you have 5 people over the age of 3, they will automatically place you in an AB room with a trundle and charge you the extra $15. I've heard of families of 4 who were placed in AB rooms with trundles, but were not charged the extra $15....even if they use it during their stay.

With a party of 4, you can <i>request</i> an AB room, but you are not guaranteed of being placed in one. I believe you can specifically book an AB room, but you would be required to pay the extra $$.

What is AB? They said trundle beds are not guaranteed. They will give us one if available. To me that statement would mean it wouldnt be charged for. I could see if it was guaranteed, I would expect to pay for it.

AB = Aligator Bayou. It's the section of POR that has rooms with the trundle bed. None of the other sections of the resort have the trundle bed option available.
