Is there a way to pay for friend's dinner?

We bought our friends gift cards instead. Was delivered in a lovely box. They were thrilled.

Saddened - Disney has no way to accomplish this kind act. Confused, as they appear to be turning away MONEY.
Just me - I thought they WANTED Money . I was clearly wrong .

Credit card compliance rules (PCI-DSS) are much more stringent than they used to be. This is probably a factor.

They were staying at the Poly so my wife phoned the Poly and they did it on the phone using our credit card. We live in the UK too so it was very impressive! Got a reference number. They charged a delivery I think $10 but it was worth it. They really enjoyed those gift cards and not as much as we enjoyed giving them!

That is awesome! I'm glad they did it for you! I would have happily paid a delivery fee.

My daughter and son in law actually did this for my husband and me for our anniversary one year. We were staying at the Yacht Club, club level, and she contacted the planning office. They gave her the phone number of the manager at Cinderella's Castle, where we were having our dinner, and he arranged everything for her. What was funny was he came over at the end of the meal and presented us with a card that Amy had mailed to him and said it was on her and Jason. He was told to wait until the end of the meal because Amy said we wouldn't have ordered what we really wanted,this was before the meal was one price. Now, granted this was about 10 to 15 years ago, but they have done it a few times since when we go and dine at the Yachtsman.

I will know where they are eating, in advance. Not sure if there is a way to contact restaurants directly.

1) Send them Gift Card to their hotel, ore place an amount on their room account.
2) If you were a merchant (eg. WDW), would YOU accept a phone call to cover a meal payment?
3) Especially with all the credit card fraud in today's times?
