Is there a way to figure out which Longaberger basket I have?

I was going to list my one and only Longaberger basket on eBay. But when I went to see how much this might go for, I couldn't believe the number of baskets. They had them listed by year. I have no idea what basket I have. It is several years old and is just a regular rectangular basket, maybe 12 inches by 5 inches??? No lid?

I'm trying to raise some money for our summer trip. Plus I am trying to get rid of some stuff since we are trying to get the house ready to sell.

Thanks,
Maggie

Could it be the Bread Basket? It should be dated on the bottom.

What I would do is go to a Longaberger board and completely describe the basket including year, any markings on the bottom, exact measurements and stain color...also are there handles (what kind? swinging or stationary?)

I have done that before when I just couldn't remember and have gotten the answer very quickly.

I am pretty familiar with the baskets though so once someone said could it be? it would help me remember the name as soon as they said it.

Good luck - I myself am going to put some more baskets on this week.

There should be intials and a date at the bottom of your basket -probally 2 numbers 05--2005, 95--1995. How deep is the basket?

It sounds like a cracker basket. You may want to look at baskets on ebay and see what they look like.
Hope this helps.

Any experience when these baskets sell best? I was thinking late April for mother's day. . . .

Your Longaberger rep should have a book that lists all the baskets made by the company. My rep was able to tell me all the info on a basket that I bought about 15 years ago.
Hope this helps.

I think you might be describing a bread basket also, but there are lots of Longaberger styles. I just wanted to caution you not to expect a huge return on your basket. I have over 80 of these which I collected in the 1980's & early 1990's which were touted to retain their value or increase their value as collector's items. I have checked E-bay for a couple years thinking I might sell some of mine, but they always sell for less than 1/4 what I paid for mine so I just hang on to them. Good luck with your sale!

Interesting to see where you all are from. I live near the factory, and you never know if what's a big deal IN the area is also a big deal OUT of the area.

Myself, I'm to poor ;)

to small for a bread. probably cracker, does it have leather loops or no handles at all? year? everyone is right just call up a rep and describe in detail and they may even have a buyer or board for selling on for you to check out. long time since I was consultant tho. . .good luck. . .

thinking of selling some of mine that are boxed up for 5+ years now. . .rather have Disney at this point!

Can you post a photo of it? Maybe someone here can help you ID it. Exact measurements could help also.
