Is there a way that I can make my avatar the correct size?

I made this:

But it is too large, no matter how much I shrink it. If it were the correct kb, it would be too to read. I keep saving it as low quality, but it is still too big. Any tips? I am using photoshop.

Check your color settings. That can be expensive in Kb.

It looks like you're only using 2 colors, but your photo software may still be saving the program for too many colors, so even though there really aren't any colors, the overhead is still there making the filesize larger than necessary.

16 bit color is all you need. Try that and see if it helps.

You can also try saving it as a gif instead of jpg to see if that makes the filesize smaller.
