Is there a way around my deadlock?

I have a reservation at my home resort (BCV) in December, but I'm on the VWL waitlist for the same week (1 bedroom). My plans are to cancel the BCV if something opens up at VWL (I believe this is a common practice among members, as insurance against the waitlist not coming through). My question is, could there be VWL owners booked at VWL but waitlisting for BCV? I know its a longshot, but is there any avenue for owners in my sitation looking to perhaps trade ressies with other owners? Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

That scenario is certainly possible and you'd have no way to discover it yourself.

You might try posting your situation and trade offer on the Rent/Trade Board, but be aware that you'll likely get offers from others for cash rental and/or trades for future dates.

I had that exact scenario (had a 1 BR at VWL and wanted to switch with a BCV owner, but it was greater than the 6 month max for posting on the rent/trade board, so it was removed).

I didn't want to chance not getting on the waitlist, so I made my reservation at BCV and then cancelled my VWL. Doc, I wonder if there is anyway that we could just post swaps on the rent-trade board for greater than 6 months?
