Is there a thread for people selling their house?

T-12 days to list. I feel like I still have so much to do to get it ready. Hopefully I'll get a lot done over the weekend. I have someone coming tomorrow to do a few projects. A woman is coming next week to do that thorough deep cleaning crap I don't want to do. I'll do the quasi-staging next weekend and then pray for the best.

Binny- I can't believe that Realtor. I would call the broker and complain. That's totally unacceptable!

Well I have another showing tomorrow. That makes 3 showings since Friday. Maybe things are starting to look up guys.

Any feedback from your showings? I hope someone made a really good offer on your house!

I just got an e-mail from our agent- we have TWO SHOWINGS today!!!! I'm excited! I also know anything can happen, though. We've been disappointed so many times by no shows. Here's hoping for the best-:worship:

Yeah none of them were interested. Well one couple liked it but it was too close to the road and one said it had potential but they wanted something ready to move in and we need new carpets and painting, and the third said it was not at all what their client was looking for and they felt it was very overpriced. Oh well. To each his own. Weve pretty much decided to take it off the market when the contract ends. Another time maybe.

our relocation specialist had a "come to Jesus" talk with her the other day. Havent heard anything since then.

Havent had a showing in I dont know how long. Getting pretty discouraged. I would really like to get the kids moved down there and start our new lives. Life limbo sucks!

Add me to this thread!

We have only had the house on the market for two weeks. But the stress is a bit high.

We've only had one showing.

We are approved for a loan to build in another state ONLY after this house goes under contract. We're moving this summer. We have no house to move to. This house needs to sell.

I'm also sick of making my bed every morning, in hopes it shows while I'm at work.

Still on the market here , going on 36 days.
With the past lookers ,we have taken all feedback seriously and done lots
of things , like lowering the price , adding in an upgrading allowence , etc etc,
So the comments this past week have been things like "my clients want to move further north (well gee I can't help you there people) and My clients don't want a wooded
lot , (ok so cut the trees down, Just by the house , lol )( ok ,just kidding) and the
last one was a doosy , My clients have decided to wait till the snow melts before making
any decisions , ( geesh its just nuts out there) Where are the agents finding these
people ?

Still , no offers.

Wishing all of us luck this next week.

I've been having panic moments, with this blasted house.

We're going on almost a month of being on the market. Probably closer to three weeks. We've shown three times. We've gotten feedback once... they didn't like the layout.

I know it's a bit early.. but, it is such an emotional roller coaster. I put so much work into the house, fixing it up to sell it. It looks 100 times better than when we bought it. I want someone to just come in, and fall in love with it's quirkiness!

Perhaps this vent will help. :surfweb:

Let me join in the misery. We've had my parents' house (They are both deceased) on the market for 2 years and a month now.........Good luck to everyone! It is tough.......

The house went on the market Monday. Yesterday (Wednesday) we had a showing on it. He really liked it and is going to bring his wife back, hopefully by the weekend. Keep your fingers crossed!

:wizard: crossing fingers for you. We are so ready to take this one off the market. Our contract should be ending by the end of May and it will be taken off then. Im just tired of trying to keep it spotless for a last minute showing. We've had several drive by's but no more showing since the first of the month. Im guessing the price is too high but Im not willing to lose that much on it at this time, so we will just keep it for now.

wow, so fast, that's great!

Our house has been on the market for 31 days. We've only had four showings, and one open house (which was poorly advertised, and no one came to).

We're sick of the entire process, but can't move forward, until this thing gets under contract.

Here's more :wizard: for everyone trying to sell a house. The recent showings we had resulted in nothing.:headache:

At least the interested parties actually showed up and looked at the house. No offers, though. Our real estate agent is showing our house tomorrow, and she is excited about this particular one. She's showing it to a couple from out of state, and apparently they are very interested in our house and one other house.

With the luck we've had, they'll probably make a wrong turn on their way north and end up buying a house in Canada.

We had a good showing today...

The guy stayed until noon, even though we were told we could come home at 11:30.. DH saw him, when he was coming home.. and the guy was coming out of the house, and really looking over the front, studying the wall (there's a crack).. but looking vERY interested.

His realtor called our realtor twice. She called us at 6pm, to clarify on a couple things on the seller's disclosure. Nothing terrible. The one bad thing.. I told her, to please pass along the message, that we'll work with him on it.. i.e. pay for it at closing.

AND, we were told that he was ready to buy a house NOW, that he was looking at two houses today. and that he's very interested.

Anyway, I'm quite excited. Hopefully this works out. It's been 5 weeks, and he's only the fifth looker. We're on a time schedule, that's running lower and lower.

Fingers crossed, happy thoughts and good vibes. I'll say a prayer tonight.

Hi all...Can I join your thread?

We put our house on the market last Sunday (April 19th). In the first 7 days we have had a realtor open house (about 30 brokers came to look at it to tell their clients about it) and 3 showings. Tomorow we are having an open house. We are hopeful!! The people from Friday who looked wanted to know if we've had any offers yet. Our realtor said that's a good sign.

DH and I went house shopping today for our new house and we found one that we LOVE and that we can afford even at the low-middle price range we think we might get for our current house.

Our realtor was going to speak to seller's realtor to see if the people who own the house we love might be receptive to an offer that is contingent upon our house selling!!! Now we just need our house to sell.

Even though we have only had our house on the market a week - its obvious this is a pretty stressful process!!

The only silver lining for us is that in our area and price range - houses are selling on average of 1-2 months and some in our immediate neighborhood have sold in about 15-20 days! So fingers crossed.

Good luck all.

-Nicole

well nothing here. SO tired of this process and just want to get on with our lives.

I hate life limbo!!

We are looking at our options at this point so I am not sure what will happen.

I so totally agree with this.

I hate cleaning. Now, I've been cleaning daily, waking up early, to make my bed, ect. It's driving me up the wall.

We've only had one slight interest.. and it didn't pan out. It's been 6 weeks. It's beyond stressful for me.

Well, we finally sold our home. Im so glad and relieved, now we are praying we make it all the way to closing.

DOH! I totally forgot about St Joe!!

OK going out to buy one today.

Congrats on the sale June!!
