Of course there's one with my user name, well kinda (browneyed girl, browneyes, same thing to me;) ). There's also a song with my real name-Shannon by Henry Gross. It's a sad song about a dog, but I like it anyway.:)

SHANNON
ANOTHER DAY IS AT END
MAMA SAYS SHE'S TIRED AGAIN
NO ONE CAN EVEN BEGIN TO TELL HER

I HARDLY KNOW WHAT TO SAY
BUT MAYBE IT'S BETTER THAT WAY
IF PAPA WERE HERE I'M SURE HE'D TELL HER

SHANNON IS GONE I HOPE SHE'S DRIFTING OUT TO SEA
SHE ALWAYS LOVED TO SWIM AWAY
MAYBE SHE'LL FIND AN ISLAND WITH A SHADY TREE
JUST LIKE THE ONE IN OUR BACKYARD

MAMA TRIES HARD TO PRETEND THINGS WILL GET
BETTER AGAIN
SOMEHOW SHE'S KEEPING IT ALL INSIDE HER

BUT FINALLY THE TEARS FILL OUR EYES
AND I KNOW THAT SOMEWHERE TONIGHT
SHE KNOWS HOW MUCH WE REALLY MISS HER

SHANNON IS GONE I HOPE SHE'S DRIFTING OUT TO SEA
SHE ALWAYS LOVED TO SWIM AWAY
MAYBE SHE'LL FIND AN ISLAND WITH A SHADY TREE
JUST LIKE THE ONE IN OUR BACKYARD

JUST LIKE THE ONE IN OUR BACKYARD

I've never heard a Heather song. I once found a Hawaiian song called "Pua Olena".

Yes...

BETH - by Kiss of all bands.

But it was a pretty song...

Michele by the Beatles...you know, I'm not sure if it's one L or two but my name is spelled with ONE L.

Sherry by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons

Oh Sherry by Steve Perry

:) :) :)

"Oh Carol" by Neil Sedaka.

"Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond.

I don't think there has been one written about "Buckalew" yet. ;)

And no Brenda's that I know of. I guess it just isn't a very poetic name.

Yes, Polly Wolly Doodle All The Day! LOL LOL

Hey, I'm not ashamed anymore. ;)

Mary - by George M Cohan. It's a grand old name!

Big Bad John
Jimmy Dean

Big John
Big John
Every morning at the mine you could see him arrive
He stood six-foot-six and weighed two-forty-five
Kinda broad at the shoulder and narrow at the hip
Everybody knew you didn't give no lip to Big John

Big John
Big John
Big Bad John
Big John

Nobody seemed to know where John called home
He just drifted into town and stayed all alone
He didn't say much, kinda quiet and shy
If ya spoke at all, ya just said hi to Big John

Somebody said he came from New Orleans
Where he got in a fight o'er a cajun queen
And a crashin' blow from a huge right hand
Sent a Lousianna fella to the promised land, Big John

Big John
Big John
Big Bad John
Big John

Then came the day at the bottom of the mine
When a timber cracked and men started cryin'
Miners were prayin' and hearts beat fast
And everybody thought they'd breathed their last, 'cept John

Through the dust and the smoke of this man-made hell
Walked a giant of a man that the miners knew well
Grabbed the saggin' timber and gave out with a groan
And like a giant oak tree, just stood there alone, Big John

Big John
Big John
Big Bad John
Big John

And with all of his strength he gave a mighty shove
Then a miner yelled out, there's a light up above
And twenty men scrambled from a would-be grave
now there's only one left down there to save, Big John

With jacks and timbers they started back down
Then came that rumble way down in the ground
As smoke and gas belched outta the mine
Everybody knew it was the end of the line for Big John

Big John
Big John
Big Bad John
Big John

Now, they never re-opened that worthless pit
They just placed a marble stand in front of it
These few words are written on that stand,

At the bottom of this mine lies one Hell of a man, Big John

Big John
Big John
Big Bad John
Big John

hehehe

even though it isn't spelled right, here's mine!!

Brandy by the Looking Glass

There's a port on a western bay
And it serves a hundred ships a day
Lonely sailors pass the time away
And talk about their homes

Theres a girl in this harbor town
And she works laying whiskey down
They say Brandy, fetch another round
She serves them whisky and wine
The sailors say...

Brandy, you're a fine girl < you're a fine girl >
What a good wife you would be < such a fine girl >
Your eyes could steal a sailor from the sea

Brandy wears a braided chain
Made of finest silver from the north of spain
A locket that bears the name of the man that Brandy loves
He came on a summers day - bearing gifts - from far away
But he made it clear he couldnt stay
The harbor was his home

Brandy used to watch his eyes
As he told his sailor stories
She could feel the ocean fall and rise
She saw its raging glory

But he had always told the truth
Lord he was an honest man
And Brandy does her best to understand

At night when the bars close down
Brandy walks through a slient town
And loves a man who's not around
She still can hear him say
She hears him say...

would you believe that my husband had never heard this song until recently? he's only known me since 1988...and he loves 70's music, one would think that he would have heard it!!

brandie :)

there is a song called "Oh Heather Honey" by Tommy ??? ( I forget the last name) Its from 1969 I think. I have the CD at home. THe same guy also sung "Dizzy"

"Jennifer Juniper" by Donovan

Jennifer Juniper
Jennifer Juniper lives upon the hill
Jennifer Juniper sitting very still
Is she sleeping, I don't think so
Is she breathing, yes, very low
What'cha doin', Jennifer my love

Jennifer Juniper rides a dappled mare
Jennifer Juniper lilacs in her hair
Is she dreaming, yes, I think so
Is she pretty, yes, ever so
What'cha doin', Jennifer my love

I'm thinking of
What it would be like if she loved me
You know just lately this happy song
It came along and I like to somehow try and tell you

Jennifer Juniper, hair of golden flax
Jennifer Juniper longs for what she lacks
Do you like her, yes I do, sir
Would you love her, yes I would, sir
What'cha doin, Jennifer my love
Jennifer Juniper, Jennifer Juniper, Jennifer Juniper

Jennifer Juniper vit sur la colline
Jennifer Juniper assise tr‚s tranquille
Dortelle, je ne crois pas
Respire t'elle, oui, mais tout bas
Qu'estce tu fais, Jenny mon amour
Jennifer Juniper, Jennifer Juniper, Jennifer Juniper

JTB took my answer :(

I guess I'll have to choose another. How about:

Johnny Angel

Johnny Angel, Johnny Angel
Johnny Angel, Johnny Angel
You're an angel to me.

Johnny Angel how I love him
How I tingle when he passes by
Everytime he says hello
My heart begins to fly.

Johnny Angel how I want him
He's got something that I can't resist
But he doesn't even know that I exist.

I'm in heaven, I get carried away
I dream of him and me and wonder how it's gonna be
All the fellows call me up for a date
But I sit and wait.
I'd rather concentrate
On Johnny Angel
`Cause I love him
And I pray that someday he'll love me
And together will see how lovely heaven will be.
And together will see how lovely heaven will be.

HEATHER HONEY
Tommy Roe

Oh Heather honey
Warm as the sunshine
Oh Heather honey
Your love is so fine
I've been here, I've been there
I've been all around
and I fell in and out of love
In most every town
But the girls I knew were not like you
You're a different kind
Heather honey, now can't you see
You're blowing my mind

Every day my friends say
I'm just a fool to fall in love
To them it seems ain't very cool
But I don't care what they say
I just can't resist
Heather, I fell head over heels
First time we kissed
Heather, honey I bet money
We'll never split cause
Loving you is so easy to do
And I'll never quit
So build your plans around this man
Cause I love you so
Don't you forget my pretty pet
I'll never let you go

*Donna* ~ Richie Valens ~

Oh, Donna, Oh, Donna
Oh, Donna, Oh, Donna

I had a girl
Donna was her name
Since she left me
I've never been the same
'cause I love my girl
Donna, where can you be? Where can you be?

Now that you're gone
I'm left all alone
All by myself
To wander and roam
'cause I love my girl
Donna, where can you be? Where can you be?

Well, darlin', now that you're gone
I don't know what I'll do
All the time and all my love for yo-ou-ou

I had a girl
Donna was her name
Since she left me
I've never been the same
'cause I love my girl
Donna, where can you be? Where can you be?

Oh, Donna, Oh, Donna
Oh, Donna, Oh, Donna

"Wake up, Little Susie". It came out the year I was born and my mom used to sing it to me.
