Is there a site to learn the basics of pin collecting/trading??

I have lots of questions, most are probably very basic so I was wondering if there was a site or page on the Dis or elsewhere that was all about pin trading.

Specifically, I'd like to know if there has to be a certain brand pin to trade. In WDW are all pins priced similarly or do they vary based on the characters? What is the average price in WDW? We won't have a car so I either have to buy some (to trade) ahead of time or in the parks so I'm looking for some cheap pins knowing we won't keep them.

Go to the Official Disney Pin Trading site at www.odpt.com . There are sections which explain how to pin trade as well as Disney's rules.

Note that a CM on duty with a pin lanyard must trade with a guest within the limits of the rules. However, as a guest there is no requirement whatever that you trade; if you are discussing a possible trade with another guest and do not feel comfortable with it you thank the person and leave.
