is there a uni/ioa site that gives info on crowd levels at parks, like touringplans for WDW? finding the disney days easier to plan as I have an idea of what days and parks to avoid. :confused3 thanks a lot.

None that I know of, this is your best bet right here.

When are you visiting?

With only two parks, people visit at any time of the week. It's not like Disney where most start their vacation on Monday after flying in.

July and the first 3 weeks of August will be the most busy time to visit.
Sunday mornings can have light crowds as the locals go to church.

But the biggest advice is to arrive early at 8am and be first to the gate. At 11am, everyone shows up and the place becomes packed.

hi, we arrive on 19th may, plan to do WDW parks first, leaving US/IOa to memorial weekend, fri US and mon IOA with a return visit tue to do best bits from both, I know this is probably not a great idea but figured that US/ IOA would be quieter on memorial weekend than WDW, am I wrong? its not based on anything, just a thought! :confused3

Universal will no doubt be less crowded than WDW on Memorial Day. The last time we visited MK on Memorial Day was 1993 when we set a holiday record experiencing 26 attractions. This took extreme commando tactics and some all out sprinting. The best advise for Universal would be to arrive prior to opening and make the most of the first 3 hours.
