Some of you don't believe in the tag fairy, and equate Santa and the Easter Bunny as the same. Please, please don't tell me there is not a Santa. Don't break my heart.

WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not believe in the Tag Fairy ????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????

who could be so BRAVE as to admit that

Yes i believe in the Tag Fairy Santa Claus The Easter bunny and even the tooth fairy

That reminds me of that scene in Santa Clause 2 were Santa, the tooth fairy, Easter Bunny, Father Time, Mother Nature and Cupid were all having thier yearly meeting....I think that's how it really happens...something just like that.

There sure is and I have two, count 'em , two huge stockings that I left hanging on my mantle for him to fill. They are still there because I wanted the Easter Bunny to fill them and then maybe the Birthday Fairy but I think Santa told them I was getting greedy (LOL).

But IMHO there is a Santa and at 48 I still check the sky on Christmas Eve looking for him (really). My kids may not but I do. :Pinkbounc

Not only is there a Santa Claus and an Easter Bunny but there's also a Tooth Fairy and a Great Pumpkin (he comes Halloween night and if you leave most of you're candy on the porch he takes it and leaves you a present  )

Of course if you truly believe there is a Santa! That's what I tell my son every time he asks.

Yes there is a Santa Claus and he has even posted on the DIS board before.

::yes::

Oops, I just noticed that he HAS posted on this very thread

 Santa

if there is no Santa then who is that fat guy that comes down my chimney ever year and leaves me presents under the tree???

I believe is Santa Claus !!!!!!!!

if I didn't, would I still get presents?? :confused3

We take pleasure in answering thus prominently the communication below, expressing at the same time our great gratification that its faithful author is numbered among the friends of The Sun:

Dear Editor—

I am 8 years old. Some of my little friends say there is no Santa Claus. Papa says, “If you see it in The Sun, it’s so.” Please tell me the truth, is there a Santa Claus?

Virginia O’Hanlon

Virginia, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men’s or children’s, are little. In this great universe of ours, man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus! It would be as dreary as if there were no Virginias. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The external light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies. You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if you did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that’s no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.

You tear apart the baby’s rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived could tear apart. Only faith, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, Virginia, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.

No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives and lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay 10 times 10,000 years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

Santa doesn't visit me. I don't have a chimney and he doesn't have the key for the security door in my building.

Yep, when I was 4 Santa called me on the phone. :goodvibes

Of course there is a Santa. Just like there is a Easter bunny, tooth fairly, tag fairy. All good people who bring joy and happiness to others.

Santa IM's my dh all the time! He forwards them to me so I can read them! :goodvibes There is a Santa, all you have to do is believe! ;)

And the Tooth Fairy was here last night, so I know she exists! I swear I have a future dentist on my hands, dd just yanks those teeth out still very much attached and bloody! :faint:

Thank you guys, I feel so much better.

DS4 asked me yesterday if I was Santa, I told him "No, and I am not the Tag Fairy either." He gave me a strange look and shrugged his shoulders :confused3 :rotfl: , but he believes in Santa again.
