Please no flames - I am asking this for DH.
He is Active Duty Army and as such is required to take PT tests every few months. He had a string of illnesses and injuries (knee surgery, 2 kidney stones and chest pains) in the past few months that has affected his ability to work out so he has gained 8 lbs over what the Army requires him to be. He thought he was fine since he works out 4-5 times a week but he had his PT test today and was 8 lbs overweight!
His superior officer will retest him on Monday before officially writing him up so DH is frantic to lose this weight. If he is written up it will affect his chances for promotion and will look absolutely horrible in his file.
He injured his other knee (not the one he had surgery on) 2 weeks ago and even though it is excruciating for him to do his complete workout (treadmill, elliptical, bike and weights) he has pushed through it anyway because he knew his PT test was coming up.
He is a big guy by frame so 8lbs is about 4% of his total body weight right now.
Is there a diet out there that coupled with the right exercise plan (taking into account the injured knee) could help him achieve this goal in 7 days?
Thanks for any insight. I am clueless about all this!
