Is there a rule of thumb...which day, which park?

I was just wondering if there's a general rule of thumb which day is best to visit US or IOA? We'll be visiting WDW in November and plan on spending 2 days visiting the Universal parks. Do people tend to find certain days of the week less crowded there? TIA for any tips and advice you might have.

General rule is IOA on a Sunday. US doesn't seem to matter much.

For us, Sunday was not very crowded, and Monday was INSANE! If we hadn't had an express pass, we would have seen nothing!

Interesting, thanks for the heads up. Looks like I should switch IOA to another day since I currently have it planned for a Monday. Back to the drawing board.........

I wouldn't worry too much about it since you're staying onsite and will have unlimited Express as well as early entry. I would definitely take advantage of early entry and the parks will be slammed but you won't stand in line very long thanks to the EP.

Yeah....November is pretty slow except for Thanksgiving weekend.

Oh no! So Sunday is the way to go instead of Monday? I thought it would be reversed so I have our days planned to go on a Monday. It shows that the express pass price is 25.99 on Monday 5/23 and 39.99 on Sunday 5/22...I thought that had something to do with crowd levels? At least that's what I read...but who knows.

I try to not get too wrapped up on crowd levels but we are only going one day.

As of right now, Express Plus passes are at their next to the cheapest level for both days so based on that, the crowds shouldn't be too bad. That could change of course. I don't know how long the "Sunday is a lighter day" is going to fly since schools will be out by then and summer vacations will be in full swing. I think every day will be busy this summer...as it was last summer. Right now any crowd predictions are simply guesses.
