Is there a reasonable way to park-hop for one day?

My husband and I would like to spend one day (child-free!) in the parks before we go on our Disney cruise, and we'd like to ride a few rides in each park (mostly ones our DD wasn't interested in/able to ride when last we visited) *together* (as opposed to kid-switching!), but it seems like it'll cost us nearly $200 just for the one day to do this. Is there a better way?

I hadn't been keeping up and the MYW stuff caught me off guard--I thought we'd buy someone's left over Park Hopper or something. We don't have any plans to come back in the next year or two (need to wait til the newest DD is old enough to enjoy it--another 2-3 years), so I'm thinking getting longer, no-expiry passes won't work (not to mention that they'd cost so much to begin with).

Does anyone have any suggestions (other than just choose one park, LOL--I don't think we could!)? Is there something I'm missing?

Hi, This might sound a bit intense but on our january trip we were on the monarail and we ment a cute couple on their anniversary who said that they were going to do all the parks in one day.. They woke up early and went to Animal Kingdom then went to TTC to MGM from till mid day then Walked to EPCOT then they there were on their way to Magic Kingdom around dinner time... Obviously they didn't get to see everything but they seemed like they were having alot of fun

Not knowing when you are going, I would mention that is getting more and more crowded each week. I have tried to do all the parks in a day and I only got 2 of them. Part of that was my fault. Let me give some tips that I learned. 1) Get an early start. If you don't, you're dead. 2) Start at AK first. The animals tend to nap and hide as the day goes on. 3) Decide what night show you want to see so you can end up at that park instead of back tracking. 4) Remember that there is not an easy way to commute with Disney Transportation from AK or MGM to Magic Kingdom and/or EPCOT. If you are driving from park to park, make sure they know so you don't have to pay for parking each time. 5) Last, make a game plan. Know what you want to do at each park and as soon as you get to that park, check the wait times for each. Get a fastpass for the longer wait and do something else. I believe it can be done but you have to have some discipline and luck.
