Is there a proper way to "INITIALLY" charge brand "NEW BATTERIES" for a Revo SC63 3-wheel?

I bought a pair of U-1 12 volt GEL MK batteries for my scooter.

I looked and looked, but it seemed like these were the correct size to buy for my Revo scooter.

I finally bought them for $229.00 for the pair, tax, shipping and handling included from www.spinlife.com which I highly recommend for website, catalog, service, price, speed of mailing, safely packaged, and confidence in company from many reviews.

Since I got free shipping, I bought an extra key for my scooter for only $5.45 which I thought that I might need if I accidentally lost or someone else lost it. I am glad that I did.

I ordered it two days ago and got it today without a dent in the package. It weighted almost 50 pounds for such a small package, but was securely packaged.

My old batteries would recharge to green as usually after recharging all night, but the next couple of days the voltage meter would drop quickly after driving about 8 miles from almost green to almost empty to where it immediately drove very slow to stop.

I could recharge on the go for about an hour and it would safely take me back home in about 2 miles which I thougth was unusual, too.

Question one: Is there a proper way to "INITIALLY" charge brand "NEW BATTERIES" for a Revo SC63 3-wheel?

Question two: Why would the voltage meter would drop quickly after driving about 8 miles from almost green to almost empty to where it immediately drove very slow to stop?

Question three: Why could I recharge on the go for about an hour and it would safely take me back home in about 2 miles ?

Basically the U1 batteries are the same as car batteries, but spillproof. So they come with a charge already on them and do not need any special charging procedures. And basically a battery will wear out and the charge capacity will drop over time.

And the site you used is not a good deal. I had my U1 batteries replaced in June and the shop charged $180 for the batteries and $15 for labor (total a little less than $208 including tax) and I have a one year warranty on the batteries.
