help you keep track of your points and vacations? We want to reserve in the 7 month window (want to impress BIL:snooty: ) at BWV.

Also a waitlist question. Is it possible to be on the waitlist somewhere but have ressies at another resort (2nd or 3rd choice)? Could you cancel at the other resort if the waitlist comes through? Is there a charge? Would this really screw up MS?

Yes.
Yes.
No.
No.

Enjoy the trip home - but how will you ever wait until September of 2005? ;) :teeth:

Well Carol let me 'splain

My ILs have nasty nasty kids, not the kids fault more that SIL and BIL can't disipline (as observed at a Super Bowl party on Sunday-I was LIVID and our family left early more or less because of it)

That's how...And I think DH will agree with me, if they don't behave they won't be coming with us again! We really want to share this with them because we love 'em, but sometimes love aint enough. We already decided that instead of a GV we're getting 3 studios so that we can separate from them.

This trip could go either way. I just want to make sure that I have my space and can escape if I need to.

In a similar vein, I'm wondering if there's a program that can calculate 90 or 120 days ahead on the calendar. For really hard-to-get reservations, I want to know exactly which morning I should dial MS. But counting it out on a calendar will drive me crazy. Anyone have any suggestions?

Finally! A question I know the answer to!

Here's a great site for doing the 90-day thing. It's for priority seating, but you can use the dates for whatever you please.

PS Calculator

Hope that helps!

poohnpiglet3, thanks so much! Not only does the site calculate dates, it also keys into specific WDW events. I love it! We want to do something special for my DBinL for his birthday during our stay at the BCV, and this will really help.

You're welcome! I found that site quite a few months ago and have been referring to it often for dates to call in my priority seating requests.

Enjoy! :)

Another big thanks for posting that link - i just bookmarked it, it'll help me to book our Fireworks cruise for may! :)

For planning your DVC vacations you might like my DVCPlanner program. It calculates all point requirements using a color-coded point and click calendar which can be used through the year 2010, gives 7-month/11-month booking windows, reports T&T/Full cleaning days, calculates all banking windows and percentages for your contracts, and more.

Download it free by following the link in the signature block below.

I use BOTH Caskbill's DVC Planner and Fredrickson's DVC Manager. I find the Planner a bit easier to noodle with, experimenting with combinations of days and rooms and seeing how the points add up. But the Manager is where I store my past and future trip records, point usage, reservation and transaction numbers and so forth. It's really a pleasure to have both programs, each crafted by someone who obviously loves DVC.

I just downloaded yours a few days ago, Caskbill! Thanks!

What a very neat program! I'm sure it will come in handy in the future (when we sign on that dotted line!)

Beyond the two applications mentioned above, any good spreadsheet will help you track your points. I use AppleWorks, but excel will work.

Cool.... Boardwalk is an awesome resort.

Yes, yes, and just your time.

Would this really screw up MS?

Nope...they're used to people doing this.
